Awesome, thanks! I assume the negative battery terminal goes to ground? I am in the process of building a new synth rack and I can’t wait to finally get a game boy in there
Ahhh, all those small lights, nice !
I think we should open a thread where people show their setup in the dark primarily to show the lights.
Jos,
That would be most appropriate for an art community like Tumblr or Deviant Art. I can imagine such a thread most likely could get its own listicle on some tech site. “44 Funny People Who Put a Synth in Their Boiler Room Which Was Handmade And Festered with Pink And Ultraviolet Lights…”

Funny People Who Put a Synth in Their Boiler Room Which Was Handmade And Festered with Pink And Ultraviolet Lights…
Just @ me next time.
Heck Seven,
It was a love arrow to all the photographers of KOSMO setup pics and not directed at anyone in particular.

there is here for the artsy photos .
That thing looks like so much fun! How many cm wide did you make your boxes?
More music… but more cases too surely?
The boxes are 80cm wide and 84cm wide. The latter is ideal with 3/4" plywood in order to have 80cm of usable space for panels. (I messed up the top case a little)
Good tip! I’m building my box this weekend hopefully, that was the exact spec I was planning on, so good timing.
nice set up , but now you need to build more …
Nice - Love the retro blue.
Man…putting that Kosmo Euro play set on my wishlists. Have you had time to use the Super Sixteen yet?
Greetings all I am new here today.
I used an old wine box for my case which houses Sams VCO and the mini ADSR. Of course I’ve now run out of space for the VCA!
I’m not an electronics expert but can solder and follow instructions. So far both modules have worked straight away.
Stay safe - Cheers Stuart
Fantastic! I got a bunch of wine boxes in to do the same thing. Love the mix of sizes. Could you post some more pics please
Hi, nice panels (the ones on the RHS case) with OPTO THING, RHP and RLP on them! They look kinda DIY? How did you make those, specifically how did you get the text and colouring on them?
Hi Jos. Those lovely coloured modules are prototypes from Simon Wards - York Modular www.yorkmodular.co.uk. I got them a few years ago now so they are strip board behind. His new ones are printed PCBs and panels now. I would say they look hand painted on wood. Not really sure what the Opto Thingy does - some sort of compression/saturation - nice on drums. RHP and RLP are high and low pass filters - one has an old guitar volume knob on it that I had lying around as Simon forgot to include it at the time - but he proactively did a couple of days later. However I kinda preferred the one from my old guitar so is has stayed.
Cheers Stuart
