1145 VC LFO Module

I’m just finishing off the 1145 VCLFO, there are 7 jack sockets and only 5 pin inputs on the pcb, looking at the photos on the main site it’s not clear how the jack’s are connected especially the black cable? Has anyone have a clear picture on how the jack’s are wired, many thanks.

hey sure. so the two + jacks connects together, and the 2 - jacks connect together, they’re just multiples of the same output, so save plugging it into a passive multiple for instance. does that make sense?

Yes l see now, many thanks.

Posting this here because I always spend way too long trying to find sq/sin waves in the banks.

Reading the datasheet now, it seems that using the Bank 1 Noise + gates to Sync make this thing act like a noise/s+h module? Anybody here played around with that use case? Makes a cool rhythmic instrument sending pings to a high res filter moving about randomly.

Running the quad pulse into a sequencer to step it forward makes for some fun rhythmic shenanigan’s.

I’m still trying to figure out the s+h use.

Yeah, I’m not sure what I have to use with as a trigger to the sync. Can I use the LMNC ADSR, or do I need a gate-to-trigger, etc…? Will experiment next sesh…

Sorry I’ve done it before, but how ?
I generally synchronize it with the trigger of the Big button, and then you have to search with the pots (range, dist & rate)

I mucked around with it a bit and could not get it to work the way I was imagining. It seems to me like the Sample knob acts more like a bit crusher, and just holding down a positive value to the sync input won’t just hold the current value of whatever’s there.

I did make a little dubber though

The demo i’ve made for it

i think the wave selection is important for S&H not all works

could i have a small rundown on what all the knobs and switches do? i just built one but im not massively sure how to use it

Maybe this thread can help you

After having the 1145 in the rack for a long time I decided to try and calibrate it again. I have tried both methods in the FAQ. See below.

“-it isn’t working the way i thought it worked? chances are its not calibrated, there are 2 ways to calibrate it. 1 turn up the speed knob and twist the preset potentiometer on the back till both the + and the - seem to be about the same brightness. or the other way is turn down the LFO level to zero, then plug something into one of the outputs, then adjust the preset potentiometer till the output seems to have no effect (its at 0v) this means it is bang in the middle and when you turn up the level the LFO will be correctly calibrated”

If I go by the first method I can visually see the LEDs look similar. If I then turn the LFO level to 0 and test an output it isnt zero. Am I missing something or being too finicky?

edit: When trying to calibrate where should the output level knob be?

i know when i was trying to sort mine out i didnt realise that the distort knob should be in the middle, pointing up.
i have level on full.

Thanks Willow I will give that a try.

I still have my quad LFO to get working properly… 4 times the work…

Good luck maestro… :stuck_out_tongue:
