My build progress

Of course, that gives the thing the right flavor  LOL no, seriously, it’s a glass cutting board with the theme of spices!

Started building the kassutronics ladder filter today. Thanks a lot @sebastian for the pcb set! Just missing one resistor and the BC557C which hopefully i can get tomorrow.

Went with the 559C for now. Works fine.

Now finished with the panel. But I still have to choose the right potentiometer caps. I’ve bought a few different ones and I’m thrilled how it changes the look of a panel.

My work today. 5 channel mixer with 2 outputs (no buffering between them) by Niklas Rönnberg. I already have Sam’s and it’s great, but I just wanted to build another one. So here is my little cable chaos. Now all that’s missing is a real panel, not made of cardboard

Hmm the red dots on the black knobs are difficult to discern, so you have to guess what position the knob is at. But that may be the viewing angle of the camera. The white one makes this a nobrainer.

Yes, I think so, too. I just bought a couple of caps so that I wouldn’t always use the same ones. And the black ones with the red dots are extra small, I wanted to test them out. But I also fell in love with the white caps straight away

By the way, I bought it here: https://www.uk-electronic.de/onlineshop/product_info.php?products_id=4146&language=en

Nicolas Woollaston’s VCLFO

I am so glad I discovered this hobby. It’s really helped me to embrace jankiness as beauty. Even more satisfying than finishing the current project is how excited I am to apply what I’ve learned to the next.

Your speaker looks very cool! Did you build it?

I also looked at the layout yesterday because I’m still looking for a good LFO. Have you already tested it extensively?

Nice work. One suggestion: Next module, work on shortening the hookup wires. The shorter and more direct they are, the less noise and bleedthrough you’ll have.

thanks. I did. got the speaker cone from University surplus and the box is just plywood, also built the simplest lm386 circuit I could find with 9v battery to power. I’m gunna have another go at the amp circuit as I’m not thrilled with the top end, but it’s functional for now.

hah. yeah. I was going for the windswept look :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: also the solid core wire I’m using from a spindle of Cat 5e is a bit brittle. I like the cost savings but it’s a pain when wires start snapping off the pots and jacks.

honestly I don’t know enough to adequately judge the circuit and also my scope died. the flashing lights are purty tho…
