I have one hooked up to the output of my mixer. I hope to get some sort of intuition from it what a sound looks like, so that reversely I may be able to create a sound from the way I know it should sound.

Is that a Roadrunner? I thought those were only in legends, like Unicorns or Prophet 10s! Can we get a little love for the Ensoniq? That sound was something special.

No plans! But it’s fairly simple. It’s made from a quarter piece of 3/4” birch plywood and some scrap for the rails. The important part is just cutting two identical sides, everything else is rectangles. Super happy with how she turned out, gotta get another row up top now

Looks not entirely dissimilar to my temporary Eurorack case, which however I made out of Coroplast salvaged from yard signs! I figured there was no point in putting in a lot of expense and/or effort when I was just starting and not sure whether I’d end up liking the result. Cheap and flimsy as it is, it’s served me well for over a year. Now it’s pretty much full and I’ve decided to build at least some modules in Kosmo format, so I’m planning a more permanent case, which again will look a fair bit like yours — but with a Eurorack row between the Kosmos.

its crazy how expensive the manufactured eurorack cases are. Spent about 10 minutes looking into those before I decided I was making my own.

I bought TipTop rails, the rest was approximately free.
(Then again Molten Modular did a video once in which he made a “case” out of a pair of rails and two pieces of corrugated cardboard so.)

It is indeed, though it probably ranks well below the other two on the myth ladder. I can’t actually play for shit and I have no way of controlling it, but I do like the sound.

My KOSMO is growing
Monday my Quad and Dual VCA’s should be arriving!
I plan to order a couple more Performance VCO’s to beef up the voice near the end of this month as well
