Didja know if you connect a 10 V shunt voltage reference backwards, and power it with a supply that’s putting out about 11.5 V, then you still get something that’s kinda sorta near 10 V? But not really?

Also, symbols meant for use with SOT-23 footprints should not be used with TO-92 footprints. Or so I’ve heard. Someone did that and it didn’t work apparently.

How have I managed to get this far without putting “check power connection polarity on chips” in my pre-fabrication checklist?

A couple of months ago, I moved my TV to put my rig in the middle of my room, put the case on the shelf, screwed it to the wall, put modules infront of those screws. Well tonight I thought I would watch some telly, where is the power lead!!!

Trapped between the shelf and the case!!! Decided it would be easier to buy a new lead than move it all :frowning:

I had some problem of “clic” sound on my VCDO Additive module

i change to the FM version, work well when i tested it …

and today i want to do a vid for my webblog, and … Clic Clic Clic

The real problem is when i used a trigger sigal, go in an Envelope then in a Buffered Multiple and in a VCA
i have some clic

if i Multiply the Trigger signal and after in an Envelope G (then in a VCA) all is clear like some water

so i change the Additive for a FM for nothing, it wasn’t the module but my patch.

I ll build an Additive for my next case

Ok, I’ve fixed the attenuator pot pins. They’re the right way around.

ticks PCB checklist
sends PCB to fab

Well, I guess I didn’t fix the other 6.

Maybe the checklist should say “attenuator potS pins”.

It says “check pots are oriented correctly”

Revised to “check ALL pots are oriented correctly”

Also I need a “don’t just skip a step and assume it’s OK”
