My build progress

Not quite finished yet. I built a second one some time ago, but without a Eurorack connector and with a capacitor that was too small. Accordingly, the time of the envelope was too short. Now I have a 4.7µF capacitor instead of 1µF. Let’s see how he behaves. Oh, by the way, it’s of course Sam’s AD / AR version 2.0

That’s not the final panel design either, it’s just the drilling template, the protective film is still on the plexiglass. I hope my ordered aluminum pieces will arrive soon, so that I can finally build correct and stable panels. 2mm plexiglass is definitely too thin!

Must be a lot of work to test the circuitry, given that there is so much of it!

It really is. lol

Started working on an FX-unit ( which will be called FX-O-Matic ):

It is based on one of those 100 FX units you can buy for 10 - 15USD (have a look here).

I’ll probably finish it tomorrow.

Coincidentally, just half an hour ago a video was published on the same subject by Kristian Blåsol.

Turing Machine expanders? I have a few:

I just built the Voltages and recently acquired the Mystic Circuits Switches (only to discover that, of course, there’s a DIY version). I desperately want the long out of production Worng Electronics VLPG. Maybe someday it will pop up somewhere.

 i put this vid in my list there’s a few day

DSP FX 100

it’s seems cool and cheap

it’s not exactely the same it have 2 pot s so one for level of FX and the guy add just a little protection circuit with some diodes

here’s from Juanito Moore with more add, op amp, CV in and PT2399 for time clock :

witch circuit have you add plz ?

I just saw something similar:

So while working on that DOGVOICE board, I got an idea…

This is DOGSCRATCH -

4 Preamps x 4 Anti-Preamps (Trigger Delay = “x” Resistor Value - & Hairy Cap? - Different values on each “key”
Large “pads” are Preamps (+)
Small “keys” are Anti-Preamps (-)
Corresponding Banana Jack Outs above each “Key”
“Keys” are isolated to prevent triggering juxtaposed preamps/antipreamps.
“Keys” will have rubber grommets/orings on each standoff - vibrations*
“Pads” are scratch surfaces - much like the MTM Mikrophonie or Analog Output Mikrokosmos (KOSMO Format)

Exposed unconnected trace circles where the 35mm Piezo (Large key) and 18mm Piezo (Small key) may be soldered to the rear of the “key”.

Battery Clip or 12v DC Barrel Jack.

Future idea is a reversed version with shallow standoffs and a taller bottom panel for Eurorack mounting - subjective to how the triggers work - as I have never even built a preamp lol.

For those unfamiliar - Dogvoice uses these Preamps and Antipreamps housed in a slit drum to trigger the various other modules
I was staring at Mikrokosmos by @analogoutput and became inspired.

(I sent this idea off to Peter B. tonight via email  )

Brilliant! Would love to see this realized.

So now Sam’s AD / AR 2.0 for the time being with a plexiglass panel and finished design and buttons and potentiometers. Today my aluminum panel blanks finally arrived, now we can really start. I’m really happy

How does the circuit handle the kosmo / eurorack voltages which are much higher than the line level inputs it was made for? Do you use pre-attenuation and post amplification?

I’ve added an attenuator for eurorack (±5V) signals to lower them to level signals the DSP 100FX can handle and a post amplifiler to get things up to euro rack signal level again. Also I’ve added a Wet/Dry pot and the possibility to feed back some of the output signal to the input / or to mix in a 2nd input signal. I will publish a schematic as soon as things are running the way I want them to.

i didn’t start building it at all, I put aside some informations that interests me for my future modules, and this project attracted me.

But I also think Juanito Moore’s scheme with op amp is a good thing

thx for your explanation, i waiting for your schem, and for information here’s celeui de Juanito

OK, now it looks more like circuit bending

Not really “build progress”

But today, I received a humble e-mail from Peter from ciat-lonbarde giving me permission to move forward with dogvoice and dogscratch as well as my 2-roll LFO x8’s and even went as far as to extend a future trade between one another!!

I would say that is some progress!!

Well earned. You’ve done a lot to evangelise for Ciat-Lonbarde designs and demonstrate that they’re not just pretty doodles.

First of my two AO Dual Quantizers is built. Still need to upload the code and Dremel the rotary switches to get the knobs closer to the surface:

Built a bunch of cables last night. How many is enough? (I suspect you can never have enough). I’m also looking forward as to how it’ll look together, wood cabinet, black panels, orange cables.

My custom power supply is getting enclosed

Also made a start on my first decadrone.

You can NEVER have enough cables. If it helps, I bought these and they are great. Much better than the ones that were with the Beatstep Pro. The plugs are nice and narrow and the nylon cables are soft. The only disadvantage is that they are only available in 1m length. But you can just make more shorter ones out of it

Here´s the LINK They are available in 5 colors

By the way, your big toe has a sharp curve  :grinning:
