Moritz Klein's Hi Hat Based on TR606

I designed this Stripboard layout, this is a sort of TR606’s Hi Hat that should work but I hadn’t verified yet. The 1K Pot is for Bandpass Filter and the 250K pot is for timing release of Envelope Gen.
I apologize for my bad English

Welcome, @Francesco.marchet06 :grinning:

This looks like something Id like to build, I always liked the sound of tr606 hihats.

Small update: I changed the transistors because I realized I had messed up the pinout; they are NPN type transistors and there is one PNP type (the 2N3906), now that’s right. Schematic coming soon!

Sorry, I’m new to the forum. I’m also a newbie to electronics to be honest. I’ll edit right away!

Im probably missing something, but I dont understand where the base of the 2N3906 is supposed to be connected too, there’s an x on the base but no other place to coonect it too

The x symbol normally denotes a component terminal that is deliberately not connected anywhere.

In the schematic at https://www.ericasynths.lv/media/HIHAT_MANUAL_1.pdf (on page 50) there is a jack labeled ACC (accent) connected to the base with a series resistor and a diode to ground. Presumably these have been omitted here for simplification, though I would think the transistor and 22k resistor could be left out as well in that case.

I was testing the operation of this toy when I noticed that my hex inverter was heating up (you could cook eggs!). Looking at the datasheet of the chip, the SN74HC14N, I saw that the supply voltage cannot exceed 6 volts unlike the Cd40106 which supports 18 volts. As soon as I buy the chip I’ll let you know if it works.

I bought the CD40106 and it sounds great! Now I must create the panel.

is it now verified ?)

Yes, it is. I forget to change the image

If it’s verified, maybe you can add it to the “Verified sripboard” topics
