A passive multiple is just jacks wired together, so in that case yes.
An active (buffered) multiple, no… or as Sam says maybe there’s a way to do it, but normally no.

whats the benefit to the buffering in this context
more stable?
by multiplying the signals you can lose some. the passive can work for VCO, but for the other signals is better one with amp op (buffered)
See Christian’s schematic, you can for instance plug one output into something with a low impedence input without its pulling down the multiple’s input and all the other outputs.
If all you want to do is convert from one jack type to another, then one of each kind of jack wired together will do that with no problem. It’s when you want also to send the signal to multiple outputs that you might find a buffered multiple is better.
(And of course different systems might have not only different jack types but different signal levels, and then you’d need something to convert input signal levels to output signal levels.)
Basically, the op-amp makes sure that each of the outputs have enough juice. I wonder if you could have a buffered multiple, but have the different inputs wired in series (passively). hmmmm
That’s basically what I tried suggesting initially
Hey, did you ever get the elkayem midi to cv working? I also built it, but on stripboard and it’s dead. I can’t figure out what I did wrong, but I followed this schematic:
I have the pcb here, but I never soldered it… I got a beatstep pro for cheap and then I heared that Sam was doing a MIDI to cv and so I lost interest… sorry
Dude, that TTS sounds awesome!! Currently downloading the VST to start another project i will probably never finish.
Since banana jacks only carry the signal and they rely on a common ground, in addition to adapting the jack sizes, the ground would also need to be somehow connected between the Kosmo synth and the banana jack based synth.
Add a single common ground banana socket. Just like the amp connection to a turntable (long long ago…)
…and let the blue smoke and ground loops commence… anyone remember that bit in The Commitments?
i’d like to request a bandpass-filterbank. something like @lookmumnocomputer did with the bruel & kjaer thing once. maybe not as many different frequencies though. im dreaming of 12-15 frequencies (use sliders instead of pots maybe?) with adjustable Q and ±12dB each
oh klaus!!! you wait I have a bandpass module coming up im really excited about, I haven’t seen anything super similar to it. im just working through the technicals now. its very big though. its a 40cm wide panel
haha sounds great!! any chance you can adjust the Q-factor?
Then maybe with a bandpass module we’d have that Peanuts cartoon “adult-speak” made by contouring the frequencies for vowels? A bandpass module is similar to a formant module if I understand?

I’ve always thought the moog or moog style fixed filter banks look and sound so cool. But, I reallllly love knobs haha.
@lookmumnocomputer are you going to be releasing these “BIG” modules on the store? I think this is like the third big boy module you’ve mentioned and I can’t help but want them.
Super stoked to see what you do with the 8-step. I think that it’s been my favorite kosmo project so far
hey cTorp! yes they will be sorry its all taking a while. trying to get the bread and butter finished and other modules keep getting in the way of finishing off the bigger ones. for instance this band pass one I speak of may come after the dual hi/lo pass filter mentioned above
I think the pace of releases has been pretty good man, I need some time to figure out and play with one before the next
In that VLOG earlier this week where you went through the old bins there was one panel that you said was an attempt at an all-in-one unit. Have you ever thought about bringing something like that to project status? Either in the sense of using a 3372, or creating a full stand-alone LMNC mono (or poly) synth?
And while we’re all at it, I’d love to see some stereo modules
