Bought this foe myself, sold my SY-55
I have had other Roland Boutique modules befor, they don’t usually interest me for long and get sold on for a profit .
Lets see how long this one lasts.

Where are you based? I should have one en route too…
I’m in the UK. It arrived a few days ago, but I’ve been knee deep in sorting out my coffee setup that I haven’t flicked through it yet.
Oh nice, hopefully mine will arrive too in that case!
yeah I got one like that once but the ic tube was a bit long so they bent it to fit in the big box and squished the legs on a couple of the ic’s .
CPC and Amazon are also inclined to use unnecessarily large boxes for shipping. I dont understand their rationale, as it surely must cost them more to ship physically larger items.
I once ordered a single SMD component that came in a box that size. I suppose a larger package might reduce the chance of it getting lost in the post? Still seems a bit ridiculous.
I think it’s a fair assumption that, unless they are strictly instructed, the underpaid Amazon workers will have no motivation whatsoever to save the company a few cents by using smaller boxes.
That seems like a valid explanation, I seen a documentary in which Amazon employees said they were basically treated like robots, also they’re pay and conditions are pretty terrible. Not sure about CPC, but Im guessing the shipping handlers are pretty low down in the pecking order there too.
fresh meat
most of it will be the basis for my next case, the 5th…
radioactive bananas .
The BOM of a mixer i designed is here, all 0805. I still won’t get the boards themselves for at least a week
Let’s hope it all works
Sewing (with) SMD components? That’s revolutionary, tell us more!
Actually I plan to cook them in the pan
Make sure to add plenty of butter!
And today i received the hot plate i will use for that (i hope nobody thought i was joking. i never joke)
I also got myself a pair of super cheap (€1.40 per) FM radio kits, hoping to turn them into modules. They ship without any documentation but hey, it should be as simple as regulating down the voltage input then boosting the audio output.
I have actually pulled together all of the components to make my own Tides module - but the thought of doing that SMD myself is daunting to say the least.
