yeah my diy SMD braids kit is still bagged on the bench haven’t quite worked myself up to it yet , well actually trying to clear out a few older projects first .
If you have two there is a cool effect you can do with an FM receiver. A nearby FM receiver can be identicaly tuned and then detuned just enough to modulate the output of the first reciever. It’s fiddly but as you dont need the volume at the second reciever you can “dial-in” the effect like a safe cracker.
Main use in the 80’s was making my neighbours annoying ‘garden’ radio fade out. They’d retune, i’d adjust my dial silently until they gave up.
If you have an extra set (or two) of the Add Noise Drum, I would be willing to buy/trade.
Make sure you check BST thread, @analogoutput has some available right now. Wouldn’t want to sell any until his extras are gone first.
But yours are black…
I’ve been known to take a black panel and make it white by printing and affixing a paper overlay and clear plastic.
Granted, that’s easier to do satisfactorily than a mostly black with white letters overlay, or really any other color combination (if only slightly easier). In fact that’s one of the reasons I chose black letters on white in the first place. But a commercial copy service ought to be able to do an acceptable mostly-black job, I’d think.
PT2399’s! Those are a full digital delay in a chip
Now what to build with one first? Maybe HAGIWO’s take on it that controls it with a 'duino, unless you got better plans to suggest.
Also got myself better (hopefully) SMD tweezers. And a lot of 3MM LEDs.
Saw this recently, might be interesting to adapt:
These arrived today and I don’t know why I ordered them.
2*16 character Large 122mm long LCD displays white on black with i2c adaptors.
They took about 2 months from buydisplay.com and I can’t remember what they are for.
Time to start making lists
Actually the time was two months ago…
I’d love to see the looks of the postal worker who delivered this.
Hi everybody! (Hi Dr Nick!)
I should’ve put this up a month ago but life got in the way. I got a Bambu Lab P1S printer with the multifilament AMS as my Christmas bonus from work!
My Ender 3 Pro (and its many, many customisations) is sat unused at the moment. As good as that is, it’s not a patch on this new one… but it’s open source, and the P1S isn’t, so I can continue hacking with it once I’ve made some space - I’m thinking of vinyl cutting or a laser attachment to complement my current making setup.
Santa brought me the same printer - also with the AMS.
This box works great right out of the box!
from what you said in your introduce yourself bio , you used to work in the nuclear industry before retiring . you getting back into it with a home reactor ?
Ohhhh got an upgrade for my simple 3340 from @Sonosus today.
Nothing holding me back from starting to upgrade all my face plates to 2mm aluminium now from the 3d printed ones I started with =D
Think I’ll design a few small boards for my other modules. And break away from strip board.
I intend to do a nice aluminum face plate for my sequencer at some point.
