Bought myself a Craigslist guitar and amplifier, plus my vacuum tubes showed up from China!

Safety valve VCA on deck once the bare stripboard shows up!

I’ll be interested to compare notes on the VCA when you finish up. I need to do a video about mine. I ‘think’ its doing what its supposed to?

Which schematic did you use? I’m planning on making the “Dud” version linked in another thread.

Also based on the Dud design - its the one in the verified stripboard layout thread.

I believe that should be called the “De Dud” version. @Dud?

Nah! I think I’ll keep this running as “De Dud” has a wonderful onomatopoeia. If you say it fast and low it sounds like turning on a huge amp.

Not a lot of mail for me lately but today I got two! (That’s a lot ok!)

One was a patch from a pal who wanted to send me some Memphis mo-jo to see me through the winter. (30 years since I played in Tennessee) .
The other was a Banjolin! English and about 100 years old. It’s in need of some tlc but I’m very happy to give it a home.

Whats the function of the Patch-O-Matic?

Patch-O-Matic is part of a larger system which amongst others involves Envelope-O-Matic, the 14 channel envelope follower I have been working on. I will start a thread soon to explain what it all entails.

Joystick to the world!

It’ll be a while before I get around to doing anything with it, though.
