Let's Play The Name Game!

I am absolutely the same way. I worked with a lot of artists over the years during my time in the industry. Some are amazing, some are complete assholes, some are frauds and hypocrites, and then there are those who you think should be assholes who are actually the most amazing people. If the people I work with are utter shite then I won’t support them. I will buy their CD’s or records used because the artist receives no royalties on those purchases and I will not pay to see them in concert.

I have a simpler method. Having had all my tapes and vinyl stolen many years ago I stick to radio and now streaming for all my music entertainment. This, plus the simple fact of having absolutely no ability to remember names let alone names of songs, albums, artists etc.

Pissed off Annie Lennox in a session 30 years ago when I called her Claire. Twice!

Hey…it happens. I pissed off Liam Gallagher years ago because I refused to locate and acquire cocaine for him. He then proceeded to tell me to f*** off because I wasn’t useful. His brother Noel saw this go down and he came over and apologized for his brothers behavior. No more Oasis purchases ever happened again for me. I do however follow Noel’s band.

Chris Martin is another douchbag. Cost many people their jobs unnecessarily. So Coldplay can piss off too.

Oh there’s too many stories! LOL…not all are bad.

Pop Flier,

This is an Oasis record?

I’m joking because I know this became a bootleg single.

 Yeah, that sounds about right. That day Liam had 2 girls (fans) he was taking back to the bus. One on each arm. I think me saying no and telling him that he can find his own drugs in front of the two girls embarrassed him. He’s such a twat. Noel was actually very nice and apologized profusely. He then just grabbed my pass and signed it. Noel is better off without him, musically speaking.

Damn my username here is my real name lol  I don’t remember last time i put nicknames on stuff. But on my music project i go by the name “ATMANA”, it comes from sanskrit “Atman” from Hindu philosophy that means inner self, spirit or soul.

I answered this a week or so ago in my build thread:

As for my name…I can…but not well enough to justify the name  As many nicknames do it came from college. My freshman year I was bored one evening and decided to teach myself to juggle with some tennis balls that were laying around. And I quickly found that while I could almost juggle them normally - I had no problem “reverse juggling” then by bouncing them off the floor. And while the dorm floors were poured concrete…apparently tennis balls were like mallets against a drum head as far as the girls on the floor beneath us could tell. When they came up to see what the noise was about I was branded with the name - I fought it for a few years but finally gave in and accepted I was stuck with it
