"k25 series” 2.5cm Kosmo Utilities

I really like the k25 lfo, I have it right next to my oscillators for pwm and vibrato, it’s perfect for that.

If you have an extra EG and VCA, try doing delayed modulation for your PWM or vibrato. The effect will come in after sustaining a note for a period determined by the second EG

If you put the lfo thru a VCA before sending to your VCO—A VCA controlled by an envelope generator that triggers at the same time as your keyboard gate, but with an extra long attack time on the envelope.

Ray Wilson (Music from outer space) made a diagram:

Here’s a cheesy demonstration by me:

Just a cool trick most people already have the stuff to do it, especially if you have the k25s. VCAs and EGs are awesome!

I would love to get my lfo /w sync working!

Just assembled the LFO - it works a treat! <3

Same! Imperial have most of the collections built and in use in a new case.

so starting to pull parts for the K25’s . noticing that the BOM’s don’t match several of the pcb’s [ wrong values , missing components ] . I am going to go with the labeling on the pcb’s .

Yes I’m sorry about the BOMs I really still haven’t mastered the BOM generator and am clueless in excel. If you follow pcb label you’ll be good

thanks , yeah thats what I thought . I don’t like the excel , its a pain to print [ at least for me ] .

parts all pulled , time to kick on some " Earth Modular Society " jambs and start soldering .

Just finished the Attenuvert - and ok yeah, I get it now.

Hell ya! Btw for those led faders, Thonk sells really nice covers that show off the led. They have a bunch of colors too. Here on Josh’s crossfade vca but same fader head as the attenuvert. The other non led fader caps are easier to find

I seem to be having a similar problem as @MacMannes - The LED remains on and flashes brighter with a trigger signal.

I’ll try reflowing tomorrow.

My led is very slightly on as well. I think it’s just a quirk of the circuit. Doesn’t seem to be enough cv coming out to affect anything though.

I get 0.009Hz on the low end and 220Hz on the high end. Tolerances are fun

Oop. When I plugged in the G2T the LEDS went real bight and now are just barely on all the time.

I feel like I might have popped an IC. No smoke or hot components tho…

Hmmm…did you get the 72 and 358 mixed up? The 358 would probably fry if you put it in the 72’s footprint

After some playing around - I think it is doing exactly as it should. The LED’s just flash when it gets powered up and stay on at a very low level unit it receives a gate signal. I just wasn’t expecting that particular reaction.

This is sincerely addictive. I need to get my clock divider up and running now.

Nice, you could test it with an envelope gen.

I don’t think my LEDs are on at low level but they do flash on power up

I’m going to have some of these modules printed and since I don’t want five of all of them I was wondering if anyone would like to have some too. I’m based in the Netherlands so I can ship to anywhere in the EU.

I’m getting the LFO, Sub Osc, Attenuator and Attenuverter but I can always add more

Send me a message if you want in!

And thanks to @CTorp for designing these! They look like nice additions to my ever growing Kosmo rack

Right on! Enjoy! If you end up printing the EG, there are two faceplate versions, one with pos/neg switch, one without.
