Fantastic, thank you!
Here are the correct faders on mouser. I think digikey has them too. PTL series for the attenuverter, PTA series for attenuator. Both are 45mm travel. I like the center detent on the attenuverter but it’s not strictly necessary. If you look at the PTL data sheet you can see all the colors, variations they make. Gets fancy when you start dealing with faders!

One of the part numbers in my BOM was for a 50k instead of 100k. If u bought a 50k for the attenuator it will still work fine as is.
I’ll update the git if I can figure out how to do an update push or whatever it’s called
Just put in a JLCPCB order which included the LFO — I’ll probably do some of the others later, once I’ve finished the set of modules I’ve planned, but for now there’s just the one 2.5 cm hole that needs filling.
@CTorp, there are a bunch of discrepancies between the BOM and the schematic for the LFO – different component values, TL072 vs TL074, Q1 exists or not … Looks like schematic matches Gerbers and BOM doesn’t but I thought I’d check.
I found those BOM’s a bit hard to follow . would like to see if I need anything and get it ordered before my boards arrive , but the lists were all over the place with stuff missing from a few of them . oh well between the pcb’s and the schematics I should be able to figure it out .
actually just found the xlsx files that makes it easier .
Oh I can’t believe I missed these when they were first posted! Awesome work, and thanks for uploading the gerbers. Considering I am in the UK its so much easier to have the modules I want made, rather than have them shipped from the US. Customs charges here are a huge pain and I usually end up having to pay nearly double for small orders from the USA, for whatever reason they think its reasonable to slap on a nearly £10 charge (sometimes more depending on the carrier) to just look at them then actual duty above that, but from China I never have any issues (watch me get stung for making that statement, lol). I have just put in an order for some EG’s (the main one I need to fill some spots in my case right this second) and am super exited to see how they turn out and will order more as I need them.
Again, a massive thank you for all your hard work!
There’s a non xlsx BOM?
The spreadsheet’s what I was looking at.
Ahh Mouser, where shipping costs twice as much as what I need to buy. I have most everything else, so I started the assembly line last night.
That’s the main reason I head to Digi-Key first if Tayda doesn’t have what I need.
Just going over the gerbers for the order of EG’s I put in and realised that the front panels I have ordered do not have the hole/markings for the positive/negative switch. This lack of control is no major issue for me as I am intending to use them for percussion envelopes going to VCAs so I will probably allways want them to be positive anyway.
Logically I can just put in some jumpers where the switch would normally go on the daughterboard, either permanently with a short length of wire or possibly with a microswitch with some wire tails and a spot of hot glue so I can set it one way or another behind the panel? Or is this a daughterboard error and I will need to work out some other hack to connect the pots to the mainboard? Finally is it something that is a holdover on the daughterboard from an earlier version and I can safely just ignore the whole thing (although the schematic would suggest not as the switch is clearly there)? Can anyone confirm?
Also, the BOM appears to be missing the LM358 marked on the schematic and silkscreen - but thats not much of an issue
Man, I was worried there would be issues with the “extra” stuff, BOMs, gerbers etc. The EG without Pos/neg is a hold over from a previous version. I’m stuck at work for a few more hours but I’ll fix it first thing
Teething problems with this sort of thing is to be expected, glad to know that its the panel and not the main/daughterboard. That way I know that the boards should work as expected. The big question is… did you change the spacing between the two pots or is it just a change in the graphics and an extra hole? If its just the graphics then I can use the ones I have on order and just set them up for pos/neg behind the panel, otherwise I will need to order new panels Still, it doesn’t detract from the hard work you put in, which is amazing!
I’m going to figure out what got swapped, just got home
not sure were it was . maybe I imagined it , no it was the pdf’s in the individual files ?
Is the EG the only one you printed? Looks like just the faceplate got swapped. Really sorry man. And thanks to you for catching it early.
You could just solder bridge the switch footprint if you only want positive. Or drill a hole in the faceplate!
I’m going to re upload everything from new gerbers anyway but wanted to give you a heads up
I can’t even figure out how to delete/update on GitHub now I’m making a mess of things
Yeah, it was just the EG so far, I needed a few for my drum voices and didn’t want to use a load of space just for simple envelopes so they were perfect for the purpose. If the daughterboard fits behind the panel then I’ll just use them with a little mini switch glued to the back of the panel because I like the clean design and don’t want to spoil them with a press drill, but if not I’ll run off another batch of just the panels. The whole run cost something like £4 for my 5 panels, so its not like I am breaking the bank on this. Plus, I can always run up a couple of easy perfboard simple EG’s from the LMNC AR Gen project behind them if they turn out to not fit right.
Yeah nothing changed except the switch hole so it will fit. Half a tl072 will be kinda wasted but really not that big of a deal. This circuit is suuuper similar to the lmnc AR.
But now I’m trippin out I want to replot all the gerbs
