That’s why scripted discussion is so good. I think recording your random discussions can be useful, but for people who weren’t actually in the room an edited version is the least you can do.
Radio stations learned early that having a burbling idiot talking between records was preferable to dead air. Youtubers still haven’t learned that giving a cogent, concise summary is better than being that burbling idiot.
I’ve been happy listening to monologues. When it’s people who enjoy each other so much they don’t mind off-script interruptions and talking over each others points it’s when I’m so tired of the formula for YouTube content. You can get a lot of beautiful content from a practiced monologist who has no one talking back except a text chat. Live stream with text chat from audience on YouTube is very enjoyable. It’s demonstrated every time @lookmumnocomputer goes to live stream.
Oh, and this is from when I used to make music… This whole record with my friend Ryan Brogan makes me a little sad because I really don’t put this much effort into making music anymore, but also pretty proud that I made it 20 years ago.
I try and keep an open mind, listen to new and emerging genres and take inspiration from there, but all I really want to do is hunker down in my garage and make Goa Trance:
I know it’s a bit mainstream for what is usually posted in this thread, but damn Jack White’s new album is pretty damn great. Also some pretty great synth in it. Particularly “Taking Me Back”
