There is quite a bit of bad language in this video, so I don’t know what is going on with him, but Beardyman often makes me wonder whether I need all the hardware I have:
I’m usually not that techno type. But “Mr. Stamping Sock” himself, I think Colin Benders is very cool. At this point a big Waaazaaa
Hier ein kurzes Video
Also, this set by Stephan Bodzin is really good, I think the feeling of playing in this place at this moment is priceless.
And another short video of him. I’ve been listening to this song EVERY morning for 4 months when I go for a walk with the dog. When it was warmer, it was perfect for sunrise. Now it’s perfect when it’s cold in the morning and the leaves are falling from the trees, it comes very close to my idea of perfection.
Then there is Dominik Eulspiel, whom I just discovered, I particularly like the first 20 minutes of this set.
And last but not least, Omri Cohen, this jam is just a sonic experience for me.
Very stoked to see another Kahn fan here! I was a bit obsessed with his and Neeks productions whilst at uni
Siiiiick yeah I’m a huge dubstep head, was very heavy into the scene from about 2010 til now.
Love a bit of halftime stuff too - lots of guys in my area were making it a few years ago so used to hear it at a lot of raves. Dub phizix and Om unit were always the standouts to me, but I don’t know a lot about it honestly
Oh nice, yeah, I just got this Om Unit side project on vinyl, cool juke/160:
Love the Phillip D kicks stuff, I think I’d like it just for the name aha. Used to rinse the jungle classics bootlegs he did early on
Hi @Jos loved the video. Just wondered if you (or indeed anyone else here) can suggest an easy dummies guide to filming / recording a video like that? Not filmed since the BBC days of Quantel and wouldn’t know where to start.
Any and all input appreciated folks.
I’m a real amateur at making (youtube) videos and have only scratched the surface of kdenlive (the video editor I use on a linux box) so far. Especially the long rendering times on the relatively slow machine I use for it have kept me from exploring the program’s undoubtedly vast possibilities. But getting audio and video to sync is relatively easy in programs like this and the split screen is just some sort of ‘effect’ one can apply. My experience with Final Cut Pro X are of a similar nature.
Modular Lockdown Season 2 started 3 days ago. Colin streams almost every day except Sundays. The next appointment is on Monday around 6 p.m. I think. Just have a look on YouTube at Colin Benders. He is absolute madness on the modular! In this sense a big “waaaazzzaaa”
excellent ! love it !
that is great thanks for sharing that find .
It’s a bit on the post-1989 side of things for my 1970s taste, @THOGRE, but there are some good moments when the pounding beat isn’t overwhelming everything else.
[Translation: it’s bloody good stuff.]
The use of masks reminds me of The Residents. The act is quite unique, however. It looks as if they make all their own instruments. I don’t know the language. Swahili?
