I still remember that episode of Blue Peter where they showed you how in some narrow tunnels the boat had to be propelled by crew members lying sideways and walking against the tunnel walls.
Here’s a more recent demonstration by some canal enthusiasts.
This isn’t strictly necessary any more because of electric boats, but it seems to be fun for a certain kind of person.

If you transcribe jazz, is it still jazz? I know, big band stuff is still called jazz, but I don’t think it really counts if it’s scored. It’s just syncopated band music.
This is what you use in Jazz until you memorize it. Usually it’s Xeroxed. Just the changes-you comp over them.

Nice ish day yesterday here in Peterborough.
Was mostly spent indoors locked in a server room recovering a customer who got Ransomware virus
Hoping to get a couple days off next week as have been working 12hr days since Tuesday…

On top of the lockdown I’m on short-time work and the weather is wet and nasty, I might make some progress with my builds the next couple of days.

Yeah suns out today, but it’s still bloody cold! I have about 4 weeks to take before the end of March … Hope some of that coincides with the silly warm weather we seem to have been getting Every late Feb for the past few year…
I am getting less worried by ransomware, seems the focus has switched to just infiltrating cloud systems. I am more worried now about the push for cloud.

Hi. Health wise im in a major dip and rarely awake at the moment. It may be a while before im back online. So I expect to see much building; Dud to have several more cases filled, Jos to have the kickstarter-o-matic launched and many more.

Sad week 
Our cat “Tums” has not been seen since the early hours of Monday morning, if it was summer time we may be still holding out a little hope but with 0 degrees and rain all week that hope is almost certainly fruitless, perhaps he got in somewhere but we have asked around. 
… It’s not knowing what has happened that’s the worst bit. That’s the risk of being a cat Custodian you can’t control them…
Our 13 year old has some how got Chill Blains on his feet!! ( I am not that much of a misesr and the heating is on! ) He’s not been out the house since school finished in December, except to go to the docs for his feet… Thought he had Cought CV19 as he’s had a temp, but test says no and he has no other signs…
Better news, my wife has had an official letter for a new Job, she’d going from working in the local county hospital to one 8 miles out of town which is a lot less stress… May make it through the next 20 years to retirement now!
And my manager made it back to work for a couple of days although it’s still busy…
Our UK Vacine program is doing well… May have a life outside the house in a few months.

2020 was weird year, lockdowns and all that jazz. Personally it was the worst year, not because of Virus, but because I got a severe depression, and had to drop out of university, almost lost my home too. The good thing about lockdown are I get all the time in the world to heal, but I am almost year in staying home, I am restless and bored.
Denmark is quite cold atm, much more like normal winter, except the amount of snow, but very sunny. I take that over last winter, that was a grey dark varm hell.

It’s very cold here too, at least at the start of all this the weather was super and you could get out and about ( for a safe bit of exercise ). At least we don’t have to feel compelled to be doing something with our lives at present.
Tums never returned

The 13yr old apparently probably did/does have CV19 and “Covid Toes” … In Isolation now but since it was a week ago that he was last at the doctors we only have 3 more days to isolate.

i know that feeling, my gf and i have been essentially locked away in our bedroom (no. no… not like that…) since the lockdowns started.
we live in a house, but our neighbour has been making so much noise/banging/stomping constantly that we cant comfortably use down stairs (upstairs is barely an escape either), unless im making tea or wood working, occasionally getting in some juggling/poi for cardio. Her noise is bad, but its all getting noted/rec down n will be dealt with.
I guess my moaning says, enjoy your peaceful home. make it yours. what you need. =)
the UK is cold too, we actually had snow… in feb, also when it was sunny haha!

My neighbour use her garden as her personal telephone call room(and her voice is shouting by deffault, haha), while smoking, not as much as I moved in 3 years ago, so I am just used to cover the noise with listening to music. Very nosy neighbour, so I don’t like to make too much noise or something else. She once found a guy, that blackmailing girls, on facebbok and his phone number, while watching a documentary about it, called him and started to harassed him. It was a warm summer evening, so I heard everything of the conversation, because I sat outside. So I am absolutely desensetized with crazy neighbours.

Seems like the same gene of crazy (its a bit deluded to think she’s any better for stalking the blackmailer). The stuff ive heard from her over the phone through the walls isnt so safe for forum chat.
Someone needs to unplug these girls out of the OBA they’re jacked into =D hehe.
