A litany of dumbassery

Fear not, the mask only goes on when I’m inside somewhere that isn’t my house, and indeed the stink was the first thing that tipped me off.

COVID-19 sometimes causes one to lose one’s sense of smell, however, so keep that in mind when working on electronics.

Tayda’s new shopping cart layout is screwing with me. I ended up buying 1,100 56K resistors without noticing the price difference. So pissed, I just wanted 100.

If I ever find a circuit that calls for a 61.6M resistor I’ll give you a call!

It got me too! 50 LM339’s when I wanted 5 which was already 4 more than I needed

56k tho, lol oh noooo. if it was 100ks you would probably go thru them but you might have to get creative with 56ks

reviewing my order, I couldn’t even find the 56K’s on there until I noticed the small print, there is a 2nd page.

I finished @analogoutput’s Noise Bells tonight. Works much better when you put the IC’s in the correct direction. Really fun module though.

As far as the new Tayda page configuration, look right above the subtotal, 2nd page link is barely visible.

Oh, wow! That is some really bad accessibility design

Bad color choice.
Probably related to this…

For once my dark reader addon repaired the page instead of broking it:

TFW you realize you can try to mount your pots on the wrong side of the stripboard, or you can have pots that work backwards

ah keyboards clean up easy enough , you can put them under water and they will still work when they dry out . I know this because … well the dam caps lock key still sticks a bit . guess that reply wasn’t to you in particular .

My 86 year old mum asked me to take a look at her laptop. “I dont know what happened” she swore. So I took it home and when i put it on it’s side my workbench got covered in sherry.

Working In I.T. i have only spilled my coffee once in 24 years. Although it was a full mug and it did fall down the crack between the desk on to a network Switch… And the 4-Way mains Adapter…

My son knocked a can of Stella on my laptop keyboard a few months ago, I could have beaten Husain Bolt in the dash to lift the can and upturn the laptop. Only the DEL key suffered long term and I can’t be bothered to replace the keyboard as even now it’s only 12 months old after the last replacement.
