Hi all. I have recently bought a Korg Volca NuBase. I love the Acid sounds that come form it. The question I have is can I use the Sync Out from the Volca to the Sync of say the 1145 VCLFO or even the 1222 Performance VCO?
The volca sync is one pulse every two steps, I think. So it would reset your lfo or vco every two steps the volca takes. I am not sure if that is what you want…
I’m a bit of a Noob when it comes to Sync’ing so I suppose that I am not really sure what I am wanting.
I assume you want it to be sync with the tempo of the Volca. So as @sebastian says, it will only reset your LFO very often. It can leads to an interesting thing but not so sure if it’s really what you want.
I don’t know if it exists a LFO with a waveform length that can be sync with CV
For info, In Sync specification we can read this
"Sync In (3.5mm mono mini jack, maximum input level: 20V), Sync Out (3.5mm mono mini jack, maximum output level: 5V) "
All you need is a good ol’ clock divider then…
shameless self plug:
BTW syncing of VCO (like you mentioned) is done with an audio rate signal, not a clock signal. Typically.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
