I have had a couple volcas for a couple years. I have patched some questionable diy circuits and one Akai rhythm wolf through the sync jack with them both (bass and beats). Mostly I use the midi clock from my rhythm wolf to clock the beats and sync the bass in from the beats. Very recently Ive had some serious clocking issues while using the sync between the volcas while using the Akai midi for my main clock. Completely unpredictable clocking is all I can describe this behavior. Spastic. Spasmic? Anyway, the midi works fine for whichever volca receives the midi, but neither volca behaves normally with a clock through the sync in. I have not tried with a midi splitter but I have ordered one.
