I made this fuzz a while ago. I guess it is almost the same as Sams “Fuzz for a fiver” but he did it whitout Stripboard. Its VERIFIED. But its still not the hottest Effect :slight_smile:
And you just need 1 110K Pot, not 2.

I’ve made this one too, but it’s not the same Sam’one is active, the Skull and circuits is a passive one :slight_smile:

The S&C one seems to contain the elements you see in nearly every commercial fuzz pedal, the diode loop and dual transistors to form a negative feedback amplifier. The big difference seems to be that the diode clipping loop is before rather than after.

But in the S&C rather than a pair of diodes to ground near the output, there is a bridge rectifier near the input. Its purpose if you read the description is to provide power to the transistors by rectifying the audio signal. Hence a “passive” (in the sense of no battery required) fuzz. The diodes aren’t even in what you might regard as the audio path, except that since they don’t provide clean steady DC power the audio is affected. Cute concept. (Pretty much for synth only, I would guess, since guitar levels are so much lower, probably couldn’t provide enough voltage to power it.)

I tested them so i post it :slight_smile:

A manual & rotary dial phone gate/trigger & slutter

And a triple LFO (from this schem)
It’s a slow LFO with this cap value, after some test i just change all 1K resistors on the Rate pot by some 30K. And also i add a switch for select Square or Trangle out.

The rotary phone dialer is very cool! It reminds me of the time I could ‘dial’ a number by reapeatatly tapping the off-hook switch instead of turning the dial :phone:.

Folk lore has it that at the university campus of the Twente University in the Netherlands there was a public cell phone with a manual explaining in detail how to dial using the off-hook switch which was used by lots and lots of students to phone home.

i’ve put a momentary push switch for manual gate, but i don’t see what you mean by

Like the manual gate button but generating a faster “rrrrriiiippp” than the dial can generate manually. A bit like a drum roll button.
Just a thought.

I think it’s hard to check a stripboard layout without the schematics it is supposed to implement…

Joystick schematic and CV Wheel schematic come from Niklas Rönnberg

I change 100K to 150K on range pots to have +&- 9V out max (before i have 11,80V)
I add a trimpot on the wheel schem for best octave adjust.

Not a complex board but a lot of spaghetti :grinning:
