Hey bud! Just ordered three pcbs for my first modular stuff, super stoked. I’m in USA Looks like I can pick up everything here except that Druid lfo chip? Is there a local equiv here or should I just order a couple?
Thanks

hey CTorp. im not sure if there is a supplier. electric druid makes the chips. I have been speaking to him about supplying the chips with my pcbs but I have not got to that yet. hopefully soon that will be an option. depending how far into the Kosmo modular format stuff your getting! it may be worth grabbing some ENVGEN8C’s from him too and some CEM3360 vca chips. as ill have in the next two months an envelope generator module that requires ENVGEN8C’s. and VCA’s that require the CEM3360, ill be offering the pcb’s with or without his chips hopefully. but if I end up not doing so and you order a bunch of chips and I include em with the modules, please email me and we will figure out a none chippy solution from my end .
I ended up just ordering mine from Electric Druid - It arrived in roughly 6 days!

Thanks dudes! I’ll order them later today. My plan is try one module a month, hopefully my solder skills come back as it’s been a few years
Electric druid is a good supplier, I just bought quite a few chips to ease the shipping costs (just in case i fry them).
Went ahead and ordered 4 of each
Lfo10
Evgen8c
Cem3360
Ditto above-ED (and UK supply houses in general) usually don’t have the wait times you’d associate with like China, Italy or Ukraine purchases. I got my 3340s in a week.
Electric Druid actually have the code for the PIC chips so you could make your own if you have a PIC programmer https://electricdruid.net/electric-druid-chips-the-next-generation/
Uses a PIC 16F1764 for the ENVGEN8C though I’m struggling to find where to buy the PIC chip :-/ certainly simpler direct from Electric Druid or Sam if he can supply them with his panels (fingers crossed).
Now this is an interesting prospect @JimmyK9! Wonder if one could port the code to other microcontrollers then. saw this link when i go looking.
@Caustic I thought the very same thing
Been a while since I did any PIC coding but using a newer PIC with same spec that’s available should be fairly simple… The curse of a coder lol.
Just discovered you can buy them direct from Microchip and upload the code to them directly (I think).
hey jimmy I will be from the next module onwards be including odd chips like the electric druid one with the modules. I haven’t worked out wether to add options with or without yet. it does complicate it quite a bit my end, but maybe people already have them or something haha im not sure
@lookmumnocomputer ah ok, yeah needing “custom” chips from a particular place makes it more fiddly so nice if you can supply them with the pcb etc but definitely complicates things for you, specially as some people might want more than one as a spare etc so don’t envy you figuring that out :-/
I ordered 2 AS3340s from Electric Druid and thought I’d thrown them away in some packaging. I hadn’t just took longer to arrive than expected, but in a rush to get all the bits to build it on a weekend I found https://www.soundtronics.co.uk/ they sell the various AS chips and quite a lot or other pcb “helper” boards and modules. Fairly cheap and was quick delivery too.
I like to support makers / creators as much as I can but if I find I can DIY something I like to give it a go too, also tend to buy more of a thing than necessary just in case (as my mess of a living room will attest to, soooo many chips lol).
I’m quite partial to your art style and music so nice to have some authentic LMNC designs
