My brains on freeze and I can’t think.
I am trying to get my spin on the Twin Drummer , My “Fat Drums” working without success. I have noticed this mistake.
Sams Original.
Mine with the the OPAMPS upside down
Will the above mistake cause the OP-Amp to malfunction.
I have tried bodging it but it does not work ( but may have killed the 72 now.
Cheers

Yep it’s backwards. You could bodge it on a bit of stripboard to swap pins 2/3 and 5/6.
Nasty one, added to my PCB checklist.

Shouldn’t kill the op amp though, the inputs will have the wrong voltages but not outside the supply range, so not damaging.

I already built a strip-board adaptor and the circuit still does not work but perhaps the OA is dead.
So we are saying the circuit defo will not work in that orientation. Maybe I will try another OA on my strip adaptor.

The whole board seems to be a Friday afternoon job. The components are on the wrong side ( someone may have mentioned that ), the front panel alignment top bottom is off so fould the rails. The footprints are wrong for the poly caps.
Hopefully once I have it working I can manage to correct just the PCB and not have to have more panels done also.
