hi all
finished the vc0 at last ,after the thing started smoldering yesterday, i had finaly discovered that i had the TLO72 inserted upside down so it fried 2 componenets a 470 ohm resistor and it had blew open the op amp
plus it took out the cem3340 as well ,just as well ibought 2 of them lol

I installed a DIP socket backwards the other day and nearly fried a TL074 in it, but caught it with a multimeter check before putting the chip in. At least it wasn’t a backwards footprint on the PCB, which I’ve also done! I’ve tried to be a little more thorough with my pre-power up checks since that one.

its so easy to do though
i must have gone over and over that board while assembling ,but its still had wires in the wrong places
and chips upside down, lol but the only thing now is it has had a blow up, so thats probably the reason i have very little tri wave form o/p with a hum over it ,its almost like a mains hum type of thing?
