That moment of epiphany

I used to hate the human voice. Choirs of any sort used to upset me. I couldn’t abide.

In the 1970s, as I progressed from my teens towards adulthood, I was exposed to a capella rock music. Darts, The Flying Pickets, and later (in the eighties and nineties) Rockapella and The Magnets, all opened my mind to the beauty of the human voice.

Nowadays I typically listen to Tallis when I wake up. I love the Handel oratorios.
