Hi everyone, first time posting here. I’ve been having an issue with a modified form of the fuzz pedal that was made in the “Fuzz for a Fiver” video that’s sitting on my breadboard right now. The mod consists of an entire extra fuzz circuit placed after the original one, with some diode swapping and different cap. values as well. I’ve been testing each stage of the fuzz individually, and noticed a massive amount of noise on the stage using a red LED as a diode. I was thinking of dropping a capacitor on the leg of the transistor going to ground, but I’m unsure if that will do anything to help. Was stuck thinking about this late at night, so I wanted to post something here to see if anybody else has any experience with this issue. I’ve also got a schematic that acted as the base of the build, with the only changes so far being a 1n4007 as the diode for the first fuzz, and the afformentioned red LED as the diode for the second. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
