So I have apprx 10 Solar Grid invertes available for next to nothing 2.5KW upwards and approx 128 12v 34wh SLA batteries sitting arround… So it got me thinking about building a solar install on the cheap… Then I thought , this is too much hard work. what would a PV install do for me.
So a £9K install would return ( here in the UK ) ~ £15,000 energy cost saving over 25 years , so deduct the outlay and hell I have made £6k over 25 years… Super.
Put £9k into savings at a psudo optemisticv 3% for 25years , return is £19K so £10K over 25 years.
Maths Done. Back to thinking about DIY Solar…
Maybee when grants were available this made sense…
