This is the thing I was talking about, no idea if or how it works, or what its supposed to even do. there is no power input or battery lid. may be an internal battery. will open up later.

whoah its the same but not quite! thats mad, infact that makes more sense as the superhet doesn’t seem to be able to switch between modes. that one does. maybe its from the magazine a year after or something haha. ill have a look through. cutout of the meter looks remarkably similar but not quite
