My build progress

Or this …

… as many periods as you need, it’ll only show three.

Problem is, it still wants a complete sentence, or what it thinks is a complete sentence.

I hate nanny software.

I use zero width whitespace.

Looks vocodery but also harmony y y
(I’ll just waffle to fill the space)

Zero width characters are a pain to type on iOS, unfortunately

It’s all somewhat counter productive in a well managed forum, instead of simple answers you end up with a thread full of conversation about how to circumvent the character limit. And that, rather than reducing the number of characters in the database leads to many more as people write posts explaing the problem and the resolution.

An opening Post SHOULD have a proper sentence, buy subsequent ones should be allowed at any lenght.

Hopefully I have met the Char limit

I haven’t posted anything for a few days because I just wanted to play with my built things. it occurred to me that I urgently need a noise generator. So I built 4 different ones with and without ICs and NONE worked. This morning I found a very, very simple circuit and it works. Sometimes it’s the little things in life

Of course, the panel is still missing. I still have to find out what else I’m going to do on the panel. Maybe someone has a stripboard layout for colored noise?

Apropo small … my PSU for the table was actually just the assembled board and always flew around. That annoyed me so I just put it in a box and screwed a small “busboard” on top. It’s much more pleasant and it’s easy to take with you.

I have yet to change another resistor for the green LED.

for the Color Noise module :slightly_smiling_face:

this one from Niklas Ronneberg (only schem) :

http://familjenronnberg.se/~niklas/diy/eurorack/noise/

and this one from @EddyBergman , i probably test to build it one day (schem + stripboard) :

Here’s something about three pink-ish noise circuits, no stripboard but all pretty simple

Also I see Amazon has ” The Noise Generator Cookbook” by Thomas Henry for only $70.01 (plus shipping)… B&N has a Nook version and Apple Books has a version but I haven’t found a Kindle version which is what I’d be able to use… and then there are pirated versions. And there’s lulu.com, can’t tell if this is pirated or legit (but smells pirated).

Looks cool. I’m putting this jostick together -noise-filter - mmm

And …
double_facepalm
evidently a picture is worth a thousand words, or at least 20 characters and a complete sentence. How’s that for counterproductivity.

Here’s a tiny picture for more subtlety.

The noise module on my website works very well. I’ve had loads of positive reactions on it. Of course I must emphasize that it’s not my design but adapted from the MFOS Noise Cornucopia.

It’s a strong candidate for my next noise module.

You’ll love it  I use the one I built for my synth a lot. Especially the Grainy noise is handy to have.

I got a (B&W) Yellow Submarine vibe from it.

Thanks for the suggestions! Eddy´s site is always in the top three when I look for layouts. Unfortunately I always shy away from dividing the circuit boards because I build eurorack format. But the noise layout isn’t that big, I just see it. I don’t have a TL082 or a TL084, it should work with 72 and 74s too, right?

Yes, there is unlikely to be any difference between a TL08x and a TL07x.

TL06X is lower power consumption ,TL07X is lower noise , TL08X is general propose . I may have the 6’s and 8’s backwards . to lazy to look right now . but they are interchangeable . I would think that in a noise module it really won’t make a difference .

You got it right, but these days the 8x are usually as low noise as 7x
