My build progress

Forgot I had one of these in my drawer and built it this evening.

Good Morning ! @EddyBergman’s Noise Module Building starts RIGHT NOW !

Looks like you remembered to fit Bi-Polar Leds… Unlike Me.

Excellent!! Good luck with the build. Should be easy enough.

I forgot those too…

Building process of @EddyBergman ´s Noise Module :

Tomorrow I have to solder the pots and jacks and then test it  The panel has to wait a few days until my aluminum is there. I found a very good seller for it, he cuts the aluminum exactly to size and doesn’t ask for any extra money. So now I get 21 pieces 3U 3.3 cm wide for 61.4 cents each. That pleases me very much

Joystick module finished. But of course I wired the x out to the y out :joy: Easy fix though

In action (with x and y outputs the proper way around): https://youtu.be/z4kQmxBstmU

Hey I’d love to hear about results of your build.

On mine, I reckon I might try to hack a longer stem for the joystick.

I 100% cribbed the dintree.com 4v circuit. How did you come up with yours?

For the moment I am collecting infos and schem for future modules, because I would first have to work on a new case and power, but when I have advanced I will keep you informed of the evolution of this project

i find the schem here :

That looks wicked. Mine only does 0-5v

If you finish the testing can you let me know if your module also has a lower amplitude on the Grainy Highpass Noise? I just made a new video for the Noise Module article that shows it on the oscilloscope. I’m curious if yours has it too or if its just me.

Now it’s time to do some serious Zen Hectodrone soldering. Thanks @lookmumnocomputer. 5,5kg’s of panels in the mail today.

@twinturbo: seems that your choice for pineaders is more sturdy than mine (ripping IC-headers appart) I think I follow your idea.

190k resistors!?

Even E192 skips from 189 to 191. And these obviously aren’t at all critical.

They seem to mean it, though — it says 190k on the layout too.

euuuh … ??? … sorry but i don’t understand what you speak about

TL;DR: There ain’t no such thing. Well, there is, actually. I’m surprised to find Mouser has exactly one 190k resistor product stocked: https://www.mouser.com/Passive-Components/Resistors/_/N-5g9n?P=1yzdwlz

And it’s only $0.16. But a $0.012 180k resistor from Tayda would work just as well, I think, and you probably have some already.

(That 190k resistor is 1% tolerance, so why it’s not E96 191k I don’t know.)
