My build progress

Ooh so there is a limit @analogoutput?
It would be a massive challenge indeed. I was given some muitable PCB last year which I’ve put in a drawer until my fountain of youth project bears fruit. Tech is fine, even the smd and program elements but all together it’s just too fiddly for me not to make a mess of it right now.
Need a step by step in English for clouds and I’ve yet to find one. All the ‘guides’ make assumptions or have gaps.

Another performance filter for the bottom case. Looks like the rail holes have been tweaked to match the other modules and a few other minor tweaks.

Will stream more later.

The CV glider and the ADSR are working well, the VCO still needs some tweaks on the exponentiator, and I didn’t finished the PLL stuff, but I need to sleep first!

Is there a special reason (apart from honoring its name) that the 741 ADSR was made using five 741-chips instead of a some quad op-amp and one extra single op-amp?

Well, someone gave me a lot of old components, with something like 30 741, and since then I’m trying to get rid of these. But they’re such crappy opamp (and they were made around the '90)…
That’s how I end up with this schematic (it is all on my github by the way), and also how I started my electronic music journey!

90s ?
No, the 741 was released in '68 !
And still in production (why ?)

@telec16 Ha, so were are talking vintage ADSR here!

You’d think they were made of vinyl or something.

Or some military equipment still uses them and need to be maintained…

Yes but mine were made in the '90 (I know that from the datecode).
But yeah I really don’t know why they are still in production…

So you can build Weird Sound Generators, of course!

Cool, this will find a home in my test case

Today my first aluminum panel, a friend gave it to me and there were already 3 holes in it, so you can see a slightly larger one. The lettering isn’t finished either. My decal won’t arrive until tomorrow.
The switch is a bit big, I still had it from an old remote control from my flying wing but who cares …It’s a Roland System 100 LFO. I had it built a few days ago and it was lying around waiting for a panel. So here we go …

Besides, I’m looking for a stripboard layout for an LFO with Saw, Sinus, Triangle, if anyone has any, please contact me

Made some progress over the weekend.

Built:

  • performance filter
  • 2 x ADSRs (waiting to install them until I get the mega oscilltor panel)
  • 2x Buffered Multiples
  • most of a VCO (more on that in the Litany thread shortly)
  • Midimuso (not working - ordered more ICs to hopefully resolve)
  • added a line out to my furby theremin (not pictured)

Also it’s AWESOME. THIS THING IS SO MUCH FUN.

Lucky you !! I’m still missing some components for the SP filter and so I won’t be able to build it until next month. But I’m so excited about this filter, I’ve heard a few examples and it’s soooo cool. Your panel design is also really cool, is it available as a file to adapt it to Eurorack size ?!
