I love mine , it is fun to play a looping vocal sample through while pulling up and down different bands .

1221 built, not tested. I only have one 1222 and my own clone ommited the link in favour of having power linking instead . Its either time for a revused pcb or a cludge to add link.

Built the Skull & Circuits Vactrol VCF-1.

I drew a layout in DIYLC but it’s messy and specific to my own protoboards so I don’t plan to share, don’t think it’d be useful. Circuit is simple anyway. - EDIT: Nevermind, I cleaned it up, here goes: Verified Stripboard Layouts! - #589 by AriaSalvatrice

I’d slot it into my synth… But it has no space left. High time I finally build my first proper case.

I reworked my “Clone” yesterday to add LINK, so just waiting on JLC  Best check how many AS3340’s I have on hand.

I need to make an art project from a old rotary phone. Amplifier to speaker in the handset seems to work, but it’s quite quiet. Then again, the phone had had problems even when it was in use, so maybe I’ll just change the speaker to something more modern. Interfacing the rotary dial seems easy enough, there’s to points where the clicks can easily be read.

Glad you got it working, welcome to the forum

A little toy I got off Aliexpress for €1.40 per shipped:

A FM radio kit. It’s based on the rda5807fp chip that does the bulk of the work.Assembly was painless (only difficulties: a SMD chip, and one of the buttons is in a different rotation than the others)

And the quality? Damn:

Much better in person than phone + cheap speakers, too.

My next step, of course, is to turn it into a kosmo module. Hopefully a simple matter of stepping down the voltage and boosting the output. I’ll be sure to document it, prime material for a fun way to add modulation and infringe copyrights.

If you want one this is the shop i bought it from, but Ali links never last long, and there’s gotta be 20 other shops that sell the exact same kit. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005906275484.html

Love the color choices on those panels!

I got my 3d printer working properly again , and combinex wuth planning to finish 3 of my PSUs i printed a custom case.

One thing to note ,

If you chose white as a pcb colour, dont use the white of the capacjtor footprint to line up the negative on the capacjtors. Fizz pop bang .

Got Sonosus’ 3340 built, just a couple things I need to sort. Might have the trim in backwards.
Then just gotta calibrate. It was a really easy build as well.

EDIT: fixed and calibrated. Sounds really bloody good! Go check the BST =)

Now I can get to work on that tuner with mixer =D

I designed my own version of the MS20-filter. Cutoff frequency pot seems to go from about 1 Hz to 100000 Hz, I think I need to limit that a bit. A bigger resistor in front of the potentiometer should do it, maybe I’ll put a 100k trim pot in series with the 100k resistor so I can fine tune it. Otherwise it sounds great, even though the pcb I designed had couple of mistakes, but they were easily fixed with some wires.
And then there 6 mono modular level + 2 stereo line level mixer with low-pass and high-pass filter for the mono channels. It too seems to work, and the pcb-frontplate looks surprisingly nice.

Those front panels look awesome mate. Especially the MS20 Filter. Great work.

That glorious feeling when you actually mount the faceplate to PCBs. 2 down, 4 to go… might even try to drill on a blank for a Barton digital hihat thats only waiting on potentiometers and jacks. Happy Friday all.

That mixdown module looks verrry handy… githubby?

This one already sounds fun with just a single triangle wave passed through it! Barton’s dual rectifier with @analogoutput’s faceplate.

A first attempt at hot plate soldering. Definitely need to work on applying paste, pretty sure this is way too much of it. But it’s a start. And all those lies about parts pulling themselves into alignment when the paste melts are true!
