you should check out the Gerassic Organ from ciat-lonbarde
finally finished the second Eurorack / Kosmo module tester [ PCB from analogoutput based on a M.I. design I believe ] .
so now I have one , the other I built and gave to my friend who helps me out with the trouble shooting .
very versatile tool should have been the first module built would have made things much easier !
parts possibly available here . DIY synth Module Tester PCB's (new version 2)
this is were I purchased the flashed atmega ic’s .
Small clarification, the stripboard layout is not mine, it is @Unauthorised_service who made it from I do not remember what sources.
Stripboard from here I guess
based on Dogsnakes Percussive Noise Voice noise source and generic twin t oscillator/filter.
I built this last year, I thought it sounded good for what it was. The noise channel was rather quiet compared to the tom though, I’ll probably switch out one of the resistors going into the mixer bit of the circuit when I get around to it. Be interested to hear what you find.
I probably wont be using much of the noise anyways. I like a snappy snare and might even use a bit of fuzz or distortion if I need too.
Ill see how I like it first.
Let me know how ur mod goes =D
Yes this is the link i put in my post
Whoop woooooop! I got it finished, bit I still need a proper test. Brought out the BSP and a speaker but only one 1/4 to 1/8 XD
The tl072 seems to be working, didnt pop, reads ‘stuff’ on gnd-pin2 and the trigger/outs seem to be reading ‘stuff’ on my multimeter lol
Guess its another bit of waiting or pop the shop for a cheap aux to hack lol
well not really " progress " yet . but a good project for tonight while listening to some EMS jams .
Buss boards… you wait for one and 6 turn up!
Nice progress =D
I ordered a bunch of those from JLPCB using analogoutputs file from github.
at least thats were I think they came from .
Not my design, must be the 16-pin one I forked to make my 10-pin version.
yeah that must be it now that I look at them they say TOMARUS on them .
After all the messing about… it doesn’t work lol.
At first i had some scratchy noise on the Pots no i get nothing.
Found i had cut a trace in the wrong place, so cut that. Last night i noticed i missed a jumper, added that… still nothing at the moment.
Don’t know if its my routing on the panel components or if theres a lurking error on the board…
Time to slowly troubleshoot XD
Edit: Ohh would it matter if i have n SPST rather than a SPDT?
yeah progress . tester is done , power supplies done now back to some modules .
relatively inexpensive to build about $ 30.00 a piece.
if I’m not mistaken, with an spst you will only have one cap connected to gnd instead of 2 possible choices, but I don’t think this is a problem for the module to work
I had made a schematic from the stripboard, which I believe had been checked somewhere on the forum, if it can help you
Cool ! Soon 72 new modules plugged in there !!!
bringing the power up to work better with what I have in the rack , plus a little head room for some additions of course .
