My build progress

A burst pulses generator inspired by Thomas Henry’s “Repeating Trigger Generator” circuit

Where are these from? I’d be interested in more information. It’d also be nice to be able to credit whoever did them.

They come from this nice holy bible who would bring Jesus down from his cross:

Alas, no further information or credit there either, and Google image search turns up nothing!

:confounded: Very strange… this page working well good on my Android Phone…

Oh, the page is there. It just doesn’t show any additional information about what’s in the schematics.

No, only schematics but we can find really interessant things here !

Maybe someone can adding this on the diy referential topic ? (I don’t find it anymore …)

I personally don’t care , but be careful with the religiously themed comments someone may find it offensive and we have been over a year here with no flame wars or other b.s. . and thank you for sharing the synth info .

I’ve added this site to the repository thread.

I feel we’re all well behaved enough to just get on with synth chat regardless of the fact id sell my soul to the great Lord Kosmo for another bag of patch cables =)
… wait I was gonna say something satanic and odd.

In the interest of build progress, I sanded a bunch of wood rails for case 1 and cut out that ‘quick’ jig for them pesky angled rails.

The point of this is to give me 10 deg’ off 2 rails, glue the sanded faces together giving a total of 20 deg’ angle to match my case profile.
There may have been easier/quicker ways about this… but, this is what my mind came up with.
Plus I got to use a scroll saw, pretty fun =)

what taper do you use for the 1M pots?

The EG I threw together used B1M, because that’s what I had, but I don’t recommend them. I have to sit at about ≤ 10% travel to get reasonable attack rates. Among the alluded-to parts I don’t have yet for the ADSR are A1M pots, which I expect to be much better for this.

Got my case 1 rails sanded with the jig and glued up, sanded the edges to size. Ready to give it a final fitting/glue up tomorrow.
I really wanted to get it all sorted today, ah well. Just another day of fun for me. =)

Managed to get an hour or so of soldering in this evening and nearly finished this thing…

A nice cheap project - had all of the passives already, and only need a few £ of IC’s to finish. And some film caps.

Nothing nicer than just having to worry about 25x 1k resistors :joy:

Small amendment too, to remove a chunk of 9v battery circuitry (including a circuit to create -12v when on battery).

looks neat! what is it?!

It’s a Quadtec 101, quad surround dual-oscillator/waveshaper thing…

Not in it for the quad surround, but could be interesting using the spacial panning :man_shrugging:t3:

Kai,

If we’re all cowboys now do we say “ho(p)w(m)dy” as we go by?

(That joke seemed planned so much better then it did in retrospect.)
