My winter of discontent update:
- After the AliExpress toggle switch fiasco I got switches from Tayda which I thought were the only thing holding up a drum module, but then I realized while I was waiting I should have used the relatively warm weather to make a bracket to mount the PCB. Now it’s much colder and the unheated garage workshop is not where I want to be.
- I still haven’t figured out the LPG Deep switch problem.
- In my most recent package from JLCPCB were four PCBs. One design was known to be wrong by the time I received it.
- Another turned out to be wrong after I assembled it, even after I turned around the two LEDs I’d installed backwards.
- I assembled another and it might not be wrong, but I can’t really test it until I’ve replaced the first wrong one.
On the other hand:
- The fourth is fine. Then again, it only has six components on it.
- There was a front panel, too, and the order number was placed correctly for once. Too bad there’s no module to put behind it.
- I got the Plexquencer and assembled it and it was pretty much fine after I turned around the diode I’d installed backwards.
