Nice track! How many of your modular cases were involved in making it (as we’ve seen, you have quite a few)? I can hear that you’ve used some spatial effects by placing sounds left and right. Did you do this afterwards in a DAW or right from the start?

Thank you @Jos , I use all my cases (it’s not the same patch but it gives something like in the vid’s pic on each track), almost all the modules in fact.
In all 12 tracks sent to the mixer, with eq, fx and pan control.
And after only 2 tracks (righ & left) into my DAW for recording :slightly_smiling_face:

And now for something completely different:

I’ve been making covers of songs by Venom translated in Finnish, but this is bit different from previous ones. Here’s the explanation from the description:

Finnish cover of "Black Flame (of Satan) from Venoms album Resurrection, that is live recording that technically doesn’t have backing tracks. That went to a bit industrial.
All sounds in this are recorded on a single take that is in the video. Drums and guitar are sequenced in Korg ES-1 sampler, that controls Akai Tom Cat as extra drum machine. All tonal parts were sequenced with a computer in Reaper, which also controlled ES-1 to progress the song with midi synchronization.
ES-1 can have about 50 seconds worth of stereo samples, so I played guitar riffs and recorded them so that they fit in that amount of time even with the drum samples. For example, if a four bar riff had identical first and third bar, I played them only once, so that the riff required time of three bars.
Behringer Neutron plays the bass and Kord N1R (somewhat distorted) string sound, and the lead synth is combination of Arturia Minibrute and pile of Eurorack modular synth.
So, altogether three stereo tracks and Neutron and Tom Cat as mono, plus vocals. I could have had a tenth track. Maybe next time I’ll get a mixer and record a mixed stereo track. On a magnetic tape.

That’s an awesome track. If you guys wanna mix synthesizers and black metal, then I wanna be your new best friend.

I never put any of my band’s stuff up here because it doesn’t have any synthesizers… (Yet)

I keep putting off working on the second album, cause I’m building modules instead.

oh… Please ignore that Iced Earth patch on the left… I keep asking my wife to get the seam ripper out and take that off. He might have done some great albums, but I’m still pretty mad at Jon.

Nice tunes man. Synths are not required.
Dontcha hate it when someone that makes things you like lets you down?

Thanks.

I actually met Jon once. We did a meet n greet for their escape from the studio tour. He signed a copy of the bill of rights for me.

Once upon a time he’d give an interview and I’d say “yeah, I don’t like how much control lobbies have over our representatives either.”

But… He really went off the rails in recent years. And I was really disgusted about what happened at the Capitol.

A new track with my modular, the Ribbon controller and the beatstep pro.

One recording track of the entire modular (left & right) and 2 tracks of over dub with the Ribbon controller (with distortion pedal in the stomp box adapter module)
