great did you put the diodes back in and it worked ? Pics when its done okay, great news zorch
Yes! Diode in, no problems.
It was a fun little project that I am glad is almost over. It went on for far to long XD
Ive been wanting to build one for a while now as it seemed neat but…what does it do?
It’s very well explained in the video here in the post:
It switches one output between two inputs based on a trigger signal (and that on four channels). You can use it to “duck” the sound, it’s often done with the kick drum, so whenever the kick kicks, the bass synth is muted for that duration
I was wondering how people use it in practice though, do you multi the kick trigger and connect it to the kick module and the mega duck? Do you turn it on and off at times?
Oh i see, i was under the impression that the kick drum was patched into the cutoff for the filter and thats how he achieved the “ducking”…so the mega duck is kinda like a funky mute button?
I don’t have the Mega Duck but the Ducking module from Juanito Moore.
in mine you can use the kick signal, or what ever trigger, gate, cv or audio as signal
generaly i’m multiplying the audio kick for that
I think that the Mega Duck is only switch (because relay)
i can increase or decrease the effect of ducking with the Juanito Moore one i build
it’s really 2 differents thing infact
@TylerTheFolf here a short demo of a ducking module, more explicite to understand the effect
