The high spec stuff is just an itch I have to scratch. As I’m inventing my own system as I go along, I get to decide everything about it. I’d like it to be interoperable with Eurorack but that doesn’t mean I have to use ribbon cables.

gear4music is available all over the place, with somewhat varying prices (I guess depending on local stock); their US store has it for $119.75, the UK one for £109.99. Even cheaper in some other countries. Haven’t checked shipping.

Bax UK is just weird. I got a really good deal on the Crave about six months ago, but here they’re not even trying.

I saw the “Bad Gear” review of this a week or so ago. He had some fun with it, and like most of what they review, the verdict was “Oh come on now, it’s not that bad.”

It looks like amazing value for €90. I’m not tempted, though. It seems to have been designed for a specific kind of music. I just can’t see myself knocking out a baroque cantata on this kind of gear.

Well is that entirely true? According to a friend of mine who bought one and I also seem to remember this from the bad gear review, if you connect a usb keyboard to it via its mini usb connector you can play it. So that is a form of midi in?
[Edit] Make sure if you order one that they deliver a power supply with an appropriate plug! I ordered one from gear4music.NL and got a UK plug?!

DigiKey where the first I saw to offer “Next Day delivery if ordered before 4PM” way back in the late 1990’s.
