Install Pure Data. My favorite Linux sw
I’ve got that on one or two boxes, and the Bela hardware will run Pd patches too, via some middleware called Heavy. I’m not a fan, though. I like having human-readable source files too much.
A little extra excited for this one! Looks like another absolute brick. I like look of this one with the smaller font and fine lines
And yeah, as I mentioned in the CMOS noise thread, DHL dropped by yesterday with a hefty delivery from JLCPCB (plus some stuff from Tayda), and I got a bit carried away and started populating the boards before I remembered to take a photo.
Most of it is utility boards (the green, red, and I guess white ones) but there are a few new mini modules in this round, plus a brief excursion into Ray Wilson territory with a few WSG boards (*) that I will try to hide in non-synth objects in clever ways and send to unsuspecting victims, I think. Assuming they work, that is.
*) I used the “original version” here, which only uses half a 40106 but fits on a single mini module. I have a 1.5 board design for the full version in the works. Both versions can be used either with battery or with 12 V, via an onboard regulator.
That is one industrial-sized honkin’ wad of PCBs to solder you got there…
C Torp,
I know! I think a lot about what #1113 would look like with the same look.

I received most of my PCBS today in the mail. Unfortunately I only received one out of three VCOS. I’m not sure why they are missing but I’m still really excited. I just finished my first VCO build. I’m currently about to test it and see if It works

Got my Splashback and a Kosmo shirt today!
I tested my tuner VCO ( Minus the tuner Arduino ) last night, and it worked Good luck with yours, the schematics on the website are excellent for tracking down issues if you have them.
Wait until you see my not industrial-sized but definitely somewhat industrial-process production line
(but most of that green pile is stock for possible future projects, to be populated when needed, so it’s not that bad – for the regular stuff, I usually build one of each new PCB and if it works maybe one more, especially for PCBs that can be built in multiple ways (which is the case for a lot of stuff I do) – unless I know that I’ll need a bunch of them soon or get carried away…)
Modest momentum is gathering today. That panel prototyping 3mm A5 greyboard stock arrived, pictured here next to the 2mm panel I experimented with last week.
I got 20 dpdt switches from ebay last week, but they are 3 position (ON OFF ON) and not 2 position (ON ON) like it was said in the description and it took me 8 mails to explain the problem to the seller :-/ now they are offering to pay me back half the price if I keep them, but I currently have no use for 3 position switches… any ideas?
Yell to eBay…
Sorry, that was unclear, I meant ideas what to do with 3 position switches Maybe some mod with the arduino 8 button sequencer?
Why? Seller sent something that didn’t match the description and is refusing a refund. Clear case of eBay terms violation. If you don’t want them, why buy them?
I mean, yes, you could use them in the sequencer. Put one in each stage to enable/disable the output and in the other on position, send the output to the reset pin to shorten the sequence.
But you’re still rewarding bad behavior…
Trust me, follow AO’s advice here. eBay will force a full refund and make the seller pay for shipping in some cases if you can’t work something out with them.
