I’m way out of my depth on repairing this super ancient tech, sorry man : /
YAR ?!
You must have quite a few racks by now apart from all the self contained audio toys/boxes you made the last 2 years. Would you be willing to post a picture showing your complete sonic landscape as it stands now?
p.s. YAR = yet another rack.
It’s quite a mess at the moment lol. Mostly the building/KOSMO area.
I counted 39 unbuilt KOSMO modules in a box and I have 2 unpainted 99cm racks to fill up.
Since the old euro case is going in the closet, I’m gonna pull the befaco Power Bus and throw it in a KOSMO
and yes… the black racking unit is just stacked with wood standalone instruments lololol
I have a 19" 4U Boat not seen here that I still need to finish!! wanna really dive into 4U, but I’d like to set that up in a server rack unit.
typical! Thonk order turns up, just as they email a discount code. Also some alu panel that was supposed to be 200mm x 300mm, but is more like 194mm x 132mm; not sure if those missing mm are going to be an issue or not. Finally, a couple of stereo POTs, B100K and B200k, to experiment with and see how they differ to the B500K I’m currently using in my breadboard LPF.
Obviously I realised the moment I’d ordered from Thonk, that I also needed another couple of things. So that discount code probably wont go to waste…
Youve got the @analogoutput curse. That always seems to happen!
What, it’s named after me? I hardly invented it.
I ordered pcb’s from PCBWay. Order at 21.3, delivery started on 24.3, received them in Finland on 1.4. This is fast. But I already noticed that potentiometer holes in the bigger front-plate are too small. That’s my mistake. And I don’t think I have nearly enough jacks. Where do they go? I order a huge amount and soon they are all gone.
its amazing how quickly you go through them !
Ordered parts in January. Got them today. Norwegian postal service is maybe the worst in the world.
But hey, I’m back, baby!
Some new stuff arrived today:
Some knobs, alpha pots, and 2 more wall warts.
More power → more cases → more modules
Not on the pictures: some ASxxxx IC’s (3310, 3330, 3340)
Yesterday, I decided to treat myself (my right thumb to be more accurate) by finally getting a wire stripper. I had been using a razor blade and my thumb so far, up to the point my phone was not recognising my fingerprint anymore.
Spring reverb driver and quad LFO from @JUXTAPOZ74. Looks like I’ll be building some more Kosmo format soon
Whaaaat that spring reverb driver looks boss. @JUXTAPOZ74 you got more by chance?
