Under the keyboard is exactly the sound of TX81Z and RX11. It will be a bass or a lead depending on what I love most out of it.
If you thought I was just being hyperbolic this mumma folds the upper control panel and the lower lip to be the most bulletproof I’ve ever seen a synth to be.

I missed having MI Clouds in my rack. A clone came up for sale and I snapped it up. I love the randomness and beautiful sounds it can produce.
That’s an Oscillosaurus panel. I’m not a fan of their panels at all. Magpie has some great panels but they can run about $40 - $50 each.
I have the monsoon , built buy somebody I don’t remember who . I really like it , you can make some crazy sounds out of other sounds if you know what I mean [ the granular part ] .
The problem that you will run into is that it uses an STM chip and they will likely be unavailable until early 2023. I also think that DAC chip is unavailable as well. I literally have 8 PCB projects here that are all waiting on STM chips.
Good to know. I also have no way to program the chip. Its a long term project for sure.
@zorch The programming part for Clouds at least was pretty simple. I’ve not programmed any of my modules with the parasites firmware yet, but I would assume it would be the same. I bought an STLink to program my STM chips, which I think ran me around $25 from Mouser. You can get them cheaper elsewhere though.
If you’re still looking for ideas for those television tubes, i’m working on this class A guitar amplifier with 2x pcc85 (9aq8) and 1x pl36 (25e5) with a very cheap visaton output transformer that came in the mail today
The power transformer is comically large (coffee mug for scale) but has a 240v winding and a 25v winding so was just perfect and most important, recycled and free
It should work just fine with the pl504 you have on the picture. It has a 25v heater though, but most of the television triodes/pentodes have a 9v heater. If you put 2 in series with a 27ohm resistor you can connect them to 25v as well.
I guess it could also make for a nice stereo amplifier. I can keep you updated if the television tubes sound nice at all

Will be fun to try out. So far I’ve only done development using STM32 parts, but they’re difficult to get a hold of these days and I fried my spare one. I have one working Nucleo board left - but it’s going into my next project, so if anything new pops up I’ll be trying one these.

I have plenty of tubes in my drawers, salvaged from old physics experiments. Can you recommend some entry-level literature on tubes? I have not done anything DIY with those yet
I had electronics in school for two years so basically had exams about transistor gain stages so i guess that was my basics and i kind of adapted to tubes from there.
I binge watch and read a lot of tube stuff so i can give you some youtube channels and websites that i like. I’m in my phone though so you will have to search them on youtube/google

Usagi electric, all low voltage and he is building a computer with it and recently a tube atari punk console.
Uncle doug, he repairs and builds guitar amplifiers but has a some great videos about components in tube circuits and the basic maths. I still reference to the maths videos sometimes.
Internet:
Valve wizard. His name is merlin blencowe and has a great website and also some books. I don’t have the books but they are recommended everywhere.
Rob robinette: has a very nice website about guitar amplifiers, some of the maths and basic principles and modding
The tubes for synthesizers page on this forum is also really cool if you haven’t seen yet
Rene schmitz and ken stone have some very interesting synth circuits that i have not tried yet.
Also the philbrick archive is an amazing source of cool operational amplifiers and stuff like that.
I have built their operational amplifier with the nearest e12 value components and a 120v zener instead of the neon bulbs and it works fine
