Metric tape measure!
OFF TO AMAZONNNNN!!! lololol dammit cory.
Are they a rare breed over there???
You can find random cheapo tape measures with metric but I had to track down the metric/imperial fat max online. They have a version that is metric only too but I couldnāt find one for less than about $40 which is more than double price of an imperial tape
Couple 2hp modules.
A Reverb, since people keep telling me I need reverbā¦ and a mini Turing Machine
Second mail truck? Lol
YAY! I finally have drums!
My other main issue with homemade cables is longevity and proper strain relief. Iāve yet to see any DIY jacks that can do proper strain relief like a molded connector without costing more for the connector than just buying pre-made cables.
Admittedly - my DIY cable/connector skills have advanced greatly since the last time I did a 1/2" plugā¦and theyāre nice and big and chunky to work on. But for something that gets plugged and unplugged and plugs straight into a vertical surface Iād much rather spend a little bit more for cables with molded strain relief than deal with DIY. And Iām crazy enough to 3D print my panels and knobs to try and save a few cents
My jlc order finally arrived! With the V2 of my VCO, ADSR, and PLL. And also a new module: the light control! It can control the luminosity of external lighting from CV and MIDI. Look at this silvery front panel! I never thought it would be so gorgeous!
Thinking about homemade cables todayā¦and now Iām starting to think about the possibility of 3D printing a mold for casting jack housings. Could potentially solve the issue of single colored cables (well, partly since you could use different colored resin for casting) and the issue of proper strain relief. Could even potentially do something better than commercial cables by allowing customized shape/color/cable choices.
I have been looking for an excuse to learn more casting techniquesā¦and I could use more cablesā¦
In General, diy is fine if you donāt move cables aropund alot, or say replace in case of plugs on various items in the house. But knowing how many Jack cables and USB I have destroyed, I definitely donāt want to bother diy them.
2 Performance VCOās and 1 Mini ADSR from LMNC .
Unfortunately I had to pay ā¬ 32.77 on taxes and import handling costs because of the Brexit (thatās about 1/3 extra on top of the original amount).
Brexit sucksā¦
Sam, please consider a reseller on the continentā¦
Today the mailman surprised me with another LMNC order : #1153 Bounce bounce bounce bounce, #1163 Mini mixer, #1161 Buffered multiple, breadboard mini collection and a LMNC pin.
I ordered this before the one I received a couple of days ago, but this time I didnāt select āinternational trackingā. It took a lot longer to arrive, but for this one I didnāt have to pay extra import taxes (no guarantees for the future, I guess).
I want there to be more pins lol - i have all 3
I just picked up this old Realistic mixer for $10 today. Didnāt know if it would work or not when I bought it, but it works perfectly fine after testing. I figured that at the very least if it didnāt work I would use the nice wood sided / metal enclosure for something else and part out the rest. I was most excited about the VU metersā¦LOL. Itās the little things
Now I just gotta figure out what I want to do with it.
oh gosh the envy hahaha! amazing. how is it holding up??
ultimate vehicle,
Nice, thatās like the deluxe version of the model Iām working on modifying.
They have a few models over the years with decent enclosures. All are super cheap compared to big name brands even behringer
I had one sitting unused and when I finally got it out itād stopped workingā¦ considered trying to fix it but mains power puts me off and I got rid of it.
Yeah that numark EQ I got is mains power, prob just gonna rip it out and do 12v something inside
