Add some piezo for a terrific drone.

It was just couple of euros less than you would get on amazon. That is a GREAT price, as local stores here are always more expensive than one could get on global market.

Rob,

It’s fun to make some deep pings for dub and techno.

You must be going mad, there is no way i accidentally posted a picture of my boss finally realising dishwashers were amazing after moving house…

had a little play earlier, i don’t know what a real one sounds like but this little think makes some great sounds.

I can see why the PG200 is prized as trying to tune sounds on a 3P without one must be mind numbing…

One of my first synths more than 25 years ago was a JX-3P!

Rob,

It doesn’t sound like anything else. There is some capability to emulate others (DCO and Jupiter-8 / Juno-6 / Juno-60 / SH-101 / MC-202 filter inside JX-3P) but it’s perfect for many dance sounds and has its own character. The secrets of instruments that lack their built in programmer are disappearing and more people have begun to see the value in these unique sounds.

A page from Electric Druid may help explain the DCO: https://electricdruid.net/roland-juno-dcos/

The jx-3p is on my want list but only with the mental external control

I wish I had had that.

We went to Washington Wetland Centre today and had a great time. In all I think there may have been as many staff as visitors while we were there. You have to book in advance, and the hides are all closed, so you just have to be extra quiet and extra vigilant.

After coming back home I decided to get that UPS parcel from Thomann at long last, the one with the synth cover. It’s a very snug fit to the Neutron and will make me feel a lot happier about leaving it out in a dusty environment.

Edit: link for those interested. Apart from the abysmal service from UPS I’m very happy with this.

This should be a fun one! Need a few more chips though…

Thinking about some mods, adding an output jack from the noise board, and a switch to use an external noise source rather than the daughter board.
