KOSROLZ - an idea

I am working on a mock up of something I’m calling KOSROLZ.

The idea behind it is three 6-node CV controllable Rollz with an extra DC coupled node per set to allow for 3 random CV outputs.
6 CV inputs - 3 Verso, and 3 Inverso (Positive and Negative)
3 Rate/Tempo Pots (mind you - these only affect it so much lol)

The three 6-node Rollz would be inter patchable with banana cables.
I WAS going to use 3.5mm’s, but I really do not want to risk someone patching an androgynous node to something Eurorack and frying their module.
The Rolz nodes themselves are purely negative spikes.
Hence the dc coupled CV output per set.

Just wanted to gauge the interest.
I’ll probably make it either way, lol…

I’m interested.
These “things” you post fascinates me, even if I understand just about zero about them

This would be a way to get first hand experience with one of them…

But why three 6-roolz ? You had some with varying numbers… what’s the difference ?

They all have different cyclical behavior - 6-Rollz tend to be the most stable - and also have the most variation!

Stable meaning good rhythm rather than off-beat sputters.

been a while since ive been entirely stumped on what else to do to the panel… lol

its too boring :\

And i dont really want normal “labels” as it is meant to be more about intuitive patch flow. lol

to give people an idea of how the random CV Outs and Patching can affect other modules - here is an example with my table top ROOLZR with Positive Pulse Outs running into my JMBLR and then into Denum by Ieaskul F. Mobenthey - controlling the Bounds and Bounce CV Inputs.

that’s cool,i like it !

To be unique and pay homage to Ieaskul F. Mobenthey -

  • Silkscreens - Inner Stars, Cross Nodes around the CV Outs, KOSROLZ, and crucFX.
  • Everything else is exposed - and done in ENIG.
  • Bare fiberglass boards - no masking.

    ^ - here is a Denum.
Unfortunately JLC will not let me do bare copper… I begged… lol…

If ANYONE knows a place that will omit the plating step - please let me know.
Or if anyone can etch and silkscreen… lmk…
Would need the panels cut to tho… lol

One thing I am considering - is running a set in HASL and lightly sanding the plating off and then mirror polishing the Cu with micromesh… lol
