nice a sampler [ controller ] actually being played as an instrument and very well !
Cool electronica sampling Big Black, the video is just an email from Steve Albini ranting about how much he hates club culture but they can still use the sample.
Very good sounds but you should not be epileptic
I recently read an excellent comic novel by Fredric Brown called Martians Go Home. In searching on the title I found this low budget gem, unrelated to that story. Warning: contains theremins.
Come for the innovative homemade special effects, stay for the unintentionally hilarious English closed captions.
defiantly have to get a Theremin now âŠ
Martha Wellsâ recent much-loved and award-winnng Murderbot Diaries begin with this paragraph:
I could have become a mass murderer after I hacked my governor module, but then I realized I could access the combined feed of entertainment channels carried on the company satellites. It had been well over 35,000 hours or so since then, with still not much murdering, but probably, I donât know, a little under 35,000 hours of movies, serials, books, plays, and music consumed. As a heartless killing machine, I was a terrible failure.
Set in a dystopian future when corporate capitalism and the costs of space travel force many people into a life of indentured servitude and factory-built android cyborgs are used as âcomfort unitsâ and âsecurity unitsâ (sexbots and bodyguards) it could be a very grim read, but Murderbotâs informal narration style and often mordant observations about humanity and life in general make it one of the greatest comic creations of recent years. It has entertained a growing readership across five novellas and one full-length novel. It also helps that Murderbot meets some great people and learns to open up and evolve.
This fan-made âanimaticâ (a storyboard slide show timed to music) uses a song by Tegan and Sara to tell Murderbotâs story. As such it contains images which could be interpreted as spoilers. I think itâs a lovely introduction to Murderbot, and a very moving tribute to a much-loved character. Itâs a great piece of work in itself.

I think this album is the heaviest thing thatâs ever been recorded by man.
The ending got me.
The breakdancing dudes in the corner are a mood.
