I should arguably have shared this I-f tune in stead. It’s a lot more approachable and also fantastic. The other one is just my favorite:

And the lyrics are, uhm, a lot less dark

Some simulations produced by the Ligo project related to the discovery of “the most massive gravitational wave binary observed to date.” As sounds, not much to write home about, but something akin to the Wilhelm scream of this fascinating new realm of scientific observation, gravitational astronomy.

So every time I go on an LMNC listening spree on YouTube, the algorithm brings up this video with the band I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME which has certain superficial similarities (great band name, random synth gear/electronics, idiosyncratic video) but otoh makes the argument that bands of the future will consist of 1) COMPUTERS, 2) PNEUMATIC MUSICIANS, and 3) HUMANS WHO TOLERATE MACHINES which is perhaps not entirely compatible with LMNC’s NO COMPUTER approach:

(their “Nobody Likes The Opening Band” is a masterpiece, btw)

Spotify’s release radar surprised me with a new iamwhoiamami iamamiwhoami/ionnalee track earlier today, MACHINEE, with the best synth riff I’ve heard in a while, and when I went looking for the song on YouTube I found a 75-minute live set from last week (with guest vocals from Imogen Heap, Zola Jesus, and others). KONSERT:

That is a great riff! But shouldn’t that be “iamamiwhoami”? I like the sound of “iamwhoiamami” better, though :stuck_out_tongue:.

Oops  Maybe I should stick to her solo moniker ionnalee.

Its all in the wrist movement, isn’t it:

Great setup, and from the side the small keyboard looks remarkably like a Nord.
