His channel is The Vape. Heā€™s an artist and a musician and I adore his work. Oh and Iā€™ve never understood a word he says!

I once stayed a couple of months in Torry, Aberdeen, and thatā€™s almost exactly what my neighbours sounded like to me.

@Beau 's TG post made me think of Chris and Cosey. https://youtu.be/4P9aXZ9FBOg
I think I still have a cassette tape of Exotika.

My first ā€œbandā€ in high school assembled precisely for ā€œBattle of the Bandsā€ decided that we would play ā€œComfortably Numb,ā€ which wasnā€™t played on the radio in my market at the time, so I didnā€™t know it, and yet I was expected to play keys and sing.

We didnā€™t make it to that event.

The dances and even better the props. The spaceship is controlled by pencil sharpeners, Banana plugs, shower heads and of course the famous electric iron.

Blakeā€™s Seven was a bit like that. Any vaguely futuristic looking bit of consumer electronics was liable to be given a spray paint job by the BBC props department and recycled as a weapon to turn people inside out or blow up a planet.

Coming up with futuristic sets was something they took very seriously. There are even fans who specialise in tracking down the origin of various chairs and other furniture that turned up on Blakeā€™s Seven sets.

And this comes on the heels of watching an hours long video of a chair museum. Thanks for that!

Iā€™ve just finished watching most of that series. They dont make em like they use to! Bout time we had some decent sci fi on tv, that chibnall bloke has ruined Dr Who.

I love the current Doctor Who. It isnā€™t the same programme as it was under Steven Moffat, but thatā€™s pretty much a theme by now. The show remains fresh by constant regeneration. In my younger years I was a bit of a know-it-all and wanted to tell everybody what they were doing wrong. Thatā€™s what I was parodying in my earlier post about hating the new Doctor Who (in 1966.)

I think Jodie Whitaker is doing a good job, Iā€™ve always liked her in other stuff. But the scripts for DrWho last season were garbage. They need to employ a proper sci fi writer!

Perhaps this discussion is for the TV thread.
