I found it a month late:
Good mix!
His channel is The Vape. Heās an artist and a musician and I adore his work. Oh and Iāve never understood a word he says!
I once stayed a couple of months in Torry, Aberdeen, and thatās almost exactly what my neighbours sounded like to me.
Oh itās that kinda talk is it?
Or maybe thatās whatās I sounded like to my neighbours.
@Beau 's TG post made me think of Chris and Cosey. https://youtu.be/4P9aXZ9FBOg
I think I still have a cassette tape of Exotika.
My first ābandā in high school assembled precisely for āBattle of the Bandsā decided that we would play āComfortably Numb,ā which wasnāt played on the radio in my market at the time, so I didnāt know it, and yet I was expected to play keys and sing.
We didnāt make it to that event.
nice, but my brain demands the original soundtrack
The dances and even better the props. The spaceship is controlled by pencil sharpeners, Banana plugs, shower heads and of course the famous electric iron.
Blakeās Seven was a bit like that. Any vaguely futuristic looking bit of consumer electronics was liable to be given a spray paint job by the BBC props department and recycled as a weapon to turn people inside out or blow up a planet.
Coming up with futuristic sets was something they took very seriously. There are even fans who specialise in tracking down the origin of various chairs and other furniture that turned up on Blakeās Seven sets.
And this comes on the heels of watching an hours long video of a chair museum. Thanks for that!
those 2 songs have been in my play list for decades . still relevant even after all these years .
Iāve just finished watching most of that series. They dont make em like they use to! Bout time we had some decent sci fi on tv, that chibnall bloke has ruined Dr Who.
I love the current Doctor Who. It isnāt the same programme as it was under Steven Moffat, but thatās pretty much a theme by now. The show remains fresh by constant regeneration. In my younger years I was a bit of a know-it-all and wanted to tell everybody what they were doing wrong. Thatās what I was parodying in my earlier post about hating the new Doctor Who (in 1966.)
I think Jodie Whitaker is doing a good job, Iāve always liked her in other stuff. But the scripts for DrWho last season were garbage. They need to employ a proper sci fi writer!
Perhaps this discussion is for the TV thread.
