How’s everybody holding up?

We’re fine…everything is fine…

The orange is where I am.

Green is our state.

Blue is the US overall as a baseline…and I think we all know how the US is doing overall.

On the plus side…we’re doing far better for deaths than we are cases:

But I know a couple people who had it back in March/April and are still struggling to get back to work due to long term lingering issues with everything from breathing, to having the energy to get off the couch, to cognition. And their cases were never bad enough to get admitted to the hospital. So I continue to play it safe.

According to the states own recommendations (and I think the graphs do a good job of summing up my opinion of our states response…look at them again and keep in mind our governer “re-opened” the state on May 15th. And prevented local governments from enacting mask requirements until late June.) our schools here should only be doing Hybrid if they’re doing anything in person…but our district returned to full in person in early Sept. (with an option to stay remote which we’ve done since I can easily work from home and supervise my daughter.) Based on the numbers next week our county will bounce back to the level that would have recommended a return to full remote learning except last week the state quietly revised their recommendations and now you’ve pretty much got to be at 80% hospital utilization for 2 weeks before they’ll recommend returning to fully virtual.

So…yeah…things are just great here.

So only a few more days of the election, and things are getting a little too mad max for my liking. Also weasels trying to throw out votes, and more voter suppression incited by trump jr.

For my sanity, i have to force myself to only update a few times a day. Already had a meltdown this weekend, so I have to manage this shit carefully.

TOTAL BULLSHIT . cowards who are so afraid of loosing they have to cheat .

Just on a side note, White Jaguar S-types are a very rare beast ( at least in the uk) … side note ended. At least the voter was in a nice comfortable place…

They should have done it a month ago, but maybe they do the statistical analysis and know when people will take it seriously enough…

Hardly affects me,

I only have two friends local, one I only see twice a year at best, the other would be more often. But instead a group of wider friends have been doing ZOOM pub night for since march. So it’s actually got us together much more!

Been doing my day job from my rented workshop since May, no real problem there.

Don’t go to the gym, footbal, eat out, etc…

So long as the supermarkets still sell Wine and Beer I am ok. When that stops I have 4 kits to do home brew ( as long as there is sugar)

My only concern is that the Bi-Weekly Auctions I buy stuff from ( to sell on to pay for the workshop ) will close again aftre this week.

Oh Well…

“all non-essential retail, including, but not limited to clothing and electronics stores, vehicle showrooms, travel agents, betting shops, auction houses, tailors, car washes, tobacco and vape shops.”

Fortunately “My” Small business is not my main income (and that’s fairly safe) and I can cover the workshop costs.

It’s more of a theraputic thing, buying strange old Mantiques and finding them new homes. Thrill of the chase on a 90’s Sony Video camera … LOL…

I’m becoming fairly obsessed with this too, even though for me it’s mainly a hobby I indulge in every four years. I’ve tweaked my phone to make it harder to access the podcast player and I’ve removed all news sources from my browser’s quick access page. I know the next few days, and possibly the next couple of months, may be quite nerve-wracking for those who have a direct stake in the results of this election. I don’t even want to think what would-be tyrants around the world will do if they see an American election stolen.

Stay strong, vote, and don’t forget to rest, my friends.

I just started my new job. It might put a bit of a crimp in live streams sadly. Hopefully I can make it through at least 30 days before lockdown happens again. Otherwise I wont be eligible for unemployment assistance.

Trump rally in rome, 100s of big trucks have showed up to where we live today, all from out of town. All are driving excessively aggressive, one nearly drove the wife off the road.

It’s only Sunday.

**** em. Seriously.

I detest the situation we are in. I live in the south, so its not like we aren’t used to big trucks and are overreacting. We own more firearms than hands in our household, but I hate the thought that they would ever have to be used to defend ourselves. I’m always a flight type of person, so these are only for use in a plan Z situation.

I hate this so much, these folks are getting radicalized to the point of domestic terrorism and its not ok.

My life as a carer has been extremely hectic over the past day or two, but at least it helps me to avoid obsessing over vote counts. Both candidates still seem to have a path to victory and it’s going to be a nailbiter, but the Archangel Nate did warn us that this was likely to happen.

I think at this point they have turned the country into a train wreck it really won’t matter who is the engineer when we hit the wall . well maybe a little …

Biden has Wisconsin and Michigan, even with a recount there’s no way for Trump to make up the difference of thousands of votes. He might get a couple hundred in a recount but not 1000’s. Biden just needs to win Nevada and Arizona and he’s at 270. I think that he will pull those out. OR… he loses both AZ and Nevada but picks up PA. That works too.

The majority of votes remaining should be democratic leaning as they are from major cities and/or mail-in’s, both of which favor Democrats. I prefer that Trump throws a fit and tries to go to court and delay it even further because it is the time between now and Jan. 20th that I am most concerned about. If there was a clear winner right now I think the social unrest would begin.

I’m the political junkie in the family so I am trying to keep everyone positive. Trump can throw all the fits he wants but the law is on Biden’s side if he wins.

Well I think most people in the UK are on Bidens side, Bizarre is not the word for what we can see.

I have never cared that much about poletics, promises and policy are always broken.

Never been interested in US poletics, until 4 years ago when it went from wtf over to WTF… Cant be good when most of the rest of the world thinks your #1 is a total idiot. sure Boris can be a fool but he’s relativly harmless.
