It worries me now, what was it he thought he saw?? Will someone see said mirage again? There’s all sorts of stuff in the back of my van that could cause an odd reflection confusinon whatever… has this been recorded some where, is my card marked for no reason?

PO will often pull people over and have to come up with a reason why. They dont always have good reasons.

Yeah, I once got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt (while wearing a seatbelt) because the driver and I (the passenger) both were men with long hair.

A couple of police officers familiar with my daughter and her condition came to take a statement. My daughter and I then cleaned up the egged front door, which turned out to be quite easy because of the uPVC construction. I think their next step is to take statements from the suspects.
The Sergeant confirmed that she decided to upgrade the recorded crime from a public order offence to a hate crime after viewing the footage my daughter captured. She also hinted that the suspects had complained that we were videoing kids, but she said it was clear that we were both focusing on the suspects and the kids were only wandering into shot incidentally.
Nevertheless I suspect that for a long time people who live in the street will think of my daughter and me as the people who video kids playing in the street, because that’s what the suspects have put about. We’re not going to rise to the bait but we’ll have to watch out for further attacks and report them at once. At least the police know we’re well intentioned and wouldn’t do that.

It’s been my best Sunday in a long while, so far. The house is getting back to normal, Neve is happier now the birds have gone, and even the puppy is calming down and becoming less bitey.
My new Dremel had a workout using the circle accessory to cut ventilation holes into an existing reptile tank, to house a duprasi my daughter wants to get. Mammals need more air than reptiles. The collet grip broke after four holes but they’re cheap and easily replaced. I think I didn’t tighten it enough on the last hole.
Much smoke! The cutting raised a lot more heat than I expected, but the Dremel’s motor itself didn’t run hot.

They still haven’t learned. Another egging. I took some photos and reported it.
We’ve got a safeguarding meeting about my daughter on Wednesday afternoon. We’re both going to go in there confident and asking for some real support. We’ll shoot down any attempt to paint her as the problem. She has been comprehensively failed and the problem is lack of support which is beginning to look like a deliberate policy.

hang in there , good will prevail . are there any support groups you could contact ? . I am sure there are lawyers with autistic kids that will understand and help if it comes to that .

She was kicked out of the only local support group, because the people running it heard of her complex diagnosis. After months of attending without problems and even being allowed to take Neve to meetings she was abruptly rejected. This hasn’t helped.
She is under a Community Protection Notice (CPN) that means even if she screams from the mental anguish in her own home she is in breach. Her most recent prosecution under this order has been delayed in the courts by Covid-19 and her solicitor is trying to get CPS to see sense and drop it. He’s also trying to find a way to have the CPN withdrawn on the grounds that it essentially criminalises a medical condition.

dam WTF thats ruff , yeah I can see your distress in this situation . human beings can really suck sometimes . I don’t " pray " but I will send some positive thoughts / vibrations your way .

Just got assaulted by my daughter’s neighbour. Sat in the street around midnight until the police came and helped me to retrieve my glasses and gave me a lift home. I’m beginning to wonder about that neighbourhood.

ASSAULTED? Good Zeus, he got physical with you? Are you injured? I can’t help thinking what kind of show of support we could offer if we as your community weren’t so geographically scattered and in the midst of a pandemic and contraction. Our righteous indignation and “Thoughts and prayers” hardly feel like a satisfying demonstration of the warm regard this community shares for you and our sympathy/empathy for this situation, @Bitnik .

Not he. She. She threatened me with serious violence as I walked away. I was so astonished I went back to warn them that such threats were not acceptable. Then the woman came at me. I’m 63 and no match for a person in their thirties so I ran. She caught me and I hit the ground hard. The man got her off me. I sat in the road with a possible cracked rib and called the police.
I was dazed and at first declined to press charges because I didn’t want my daughter to hear about it, but I later realised that the assault was too serious to be brushed aside. If there are not consequences from this I will not be able to walk down that street safely.

that is assault plain and simple no matter who did it . time to call a lawyer , yeah I know those suits cost money . but you need help and this being thee 20th century we can’t take swords to yore enemies . as we gladly would do for you . these people are no life punks and we don’t need your suffering to feed them . if you need to start a go fund me page for the legal help we will help you ! .

Assault isn’t a civil matter so I don’t need to call a lawyer. The police will investigate and may pass the case to the Crown Prosecution Service. Since the very same person is being investigated for a hate crime against my daughter I imagine this will just go into the same dossier.

gotta love bureaucracy . sorry I can’t be there to do this Detroit style . though that would probably cause some legal shit for sure . but really if legal console would help at this point we could help you out if you don’t have the $ . I am sure there are more than a few of us that could/would help out at least a little .

You’re very kind to offer, but firstly you know nothing about me, and secondly it won’t cost us a penny to let the police do their job. When I say the case will be added to the dossier I don’t mean I think it will be forgotten. I think it’s a matter of building up a history of threatening and violent behaviour. The police know that it doesn’t do to let people like that get away with it.
