Sculpt-O-Sound presents:
Clock-Multiply-and-Random-Trigger-O-Matic
Now isn’t that a snappy name?!
When I was building a clock multiplier module from www.bummbummgarage.com which the dudes and dudettes from marketing suggested I call Clock-Multiply-O-Matic, I found another module called Random Trigger on that site that uses the same hardware, which is based on an arduino nano.
Instead of building two separate devices, I decided to try and merge the two.
So the marketing folks urged me to call it Clock-Multiply-and-Random-Trigger-O-Matic. So glad to have them …
Since they have their own software which in parts is the same, I thought, why not put the common denominator code in the main program loop and/or setup and implement the rest as 2 objects where the button allows for switching between the Clock Multiplier and the Random Trigger module.
I put some details about how I implemented the software side of this project in the Code snippets, anyone? thread.
For those who have not immediately spotted it, there is a spelling error on the panel, which makes this module quite rare (if you consider the thousands that will be build following this that will not have this typo), making it quite a collectors item, I gather. You can pm me if you have a bid in mind.
